I tend to try for 1,100 calories per day. I'm a 185-pound 6 foot tall man. What is your average?

Are you talking activity calories or calories burned for a single workout? My daily activities were over 2700 calories for the last 7 days. My highest calorie workout during that time was 558 cals at one time.

One is more about how active you are all day. The other is what you meant - tracking a single workout. I can do a number of smaller workouts each day, just don't have the stamina yet to do them all at once.

We are all different. So I dont see where this is coming from
Men burn more than Women. No way would I compare myself to a man.

I'm 59, about 190 pounds, and 5'8", and my typical workout (a 10-mile run) burns a bit over 1,300 calories.

I agree---although technically it's not a man/woman thing so much as how much lean body mass you have. A very flabby, unmuscular man will probably burn fewer calories than a very muscular, athletic woman of the same height and weight, but those individuals would be outliers.
I weigh 143 pounds and have a body fat level of 33%, so I've got very little muscle, but am lugging around a lot more fat than my body likes, which makes me too heavy to run or move very quickly. I get my exercise by walking a lot, because that's what I can do. According to my Fitbit, I burn 83 calories a mile when I walk, which takes me about 16 minutes. So I guess an hour-long walk burns about 320 calories. I can throw in a couple of minutes of "jogging" here and there, but not enough to make much difference, because at this point I still "jog" more slowly than I walk. Ha ha.

@elderwandaI feel you on the walk vs jog/run thing. I am at about 4.2 mph max with walking, depending on the time of day, if I want to keep in the fat burn mode, which I do quite often. If I don't want my heart to rip out of my chest, I have to "run" at 3.8 or so.
It's awesome, right? LOL. But, in the end, I'm not competing with anyone, so it doesn't matter what my speeds are. I am on my treadmill, in my house, and it's better than me being on the sofa with a bag of chips. 🙂

I do about 400 in an hour on a cardio day- if I run its about 600. I am 46, 5'7 and 135 pounds. But, I can only compare this with someone who is like me and does about the same activity as me to keep it apples to apples.
