Calorie Count
In order to calculate your calories you need to decide how many pounds you’d like to lose per week. I suggest 1-2 pounds as losing more will result in muscle loss.
To start go to www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html. The site will ask you for your age, gender, height, weight and activity level. It will then give you a chart of how many calories you need to lose .5, 1, 1.5 or 2 pounds per week. For me, I needed to consume around 1,329 calories per day to lose 2 pounds per week. Good Luck!

My husband lost about 100 pounds in a year at age 65, and didn't have any loose skin. If you lose fast the only way to fix the loose skin is painful, expensive surgery to remove it. And @bodylogicbyjeff said lose too fast and lose muscle. But if you just want to lose a little it is fine to lose fast. But if you go on a very low calorie diet when you reach the weight you want you must add the calories back just 200 at a time. Wait 2 or 3 days to be sure you are not gaining and then add back 200 more etc. Otherwise you will gain all the weight back. Going on the 5 - 2 diet avoids that problem. Your metabolism doesn't slow.
