How to eat healthier - hardly any healthy foods

I try and take lunch to work everyday,
the trouble is we haven't got any healthy food really for lunches or for breakfast and there isn't a lot of it.
and the "healthy" lunch stuff has the same amount of sugars etc in as a chocolate bar and doesn't even taste nice.

I don't like tomotoes or cucumber and salads simply do not fill me up. Don't really like sandwhiches but swapping to brown bread doesn't fill me up and I don't like the taste of it.

I live with my parents and my mum buys everything and makes me sandwhices so I don't have first hand control really of what I eat and I need enough to keep me going from 9-6 with one hour break but i've been getting bad headaches and bad hunger pains from not eating enough / from eating empty calories when I leave work, causing me to want to grab coffee or a cheeky burger whilst I am waiting the bus home

Is there any way you can buy your own food/suggest certain items to buy?

I'm also not sure what you meant in the beginning? If you mean there are no healthy choices to buy, or just none in the house? So forgive me if the below doesn't help/apply to you.

Currently I've been doing a boneless chicken breast and vegetables for lunch. I eat the veggies first because 9/10 I won't finish the chicken since it's too much. I don't know if you use Pinterest but it may be helpful for some lunch ideas to try that are filling and healthy.

I pack two snacks, one for morning and one for afternoon. I pack a fruit, and usually nuts. I eat the fruit in the morning because sometimes I'm still full from lunch, and a serving of nuts just is not filling. Fruit is (generally) low in calories and can be combined with yogurt to make a healthy almost dessert like snack.

I hope this helped at least somewhat. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. 😄

In order to eat healthier- you need healthy food. if you don't like what you are given, I guess you have two choices- ask your mom to give you something different, or buy your own food and then you are in control. I think you are in the UK- I know you have access to fresh food- find ones you like and stick to them...

You've gotten some great suggestions here.  You might try reading some books on health - it will put things into perspective.  I initially didn't want veggies, fruits, well - anything healthy.  But then decided that if the choice was healthy or sick, energetic or tired...no choice.  It took about a month but now I can't stand the taste of the processed stuff and love fresh fruits and veggies.  All you need is a protein - chicken, fish, beans, etc and some veggies.  Small one for a snack, larger for a meal.  It takes getting used to but is totally worth it.  Either talk to your mom about the family getting healthier, or do it on your own.

The activity that seems impossible today, will soon be your warm-up
