Today, I had an appointment with my radiation oncologist. She had treated me, I believe, about two years ago for Stage 0 Paget's disease of the breast. After surgery I had a series of radiation treatments. Paget's is a form of Breast cancer. I had a mammogram on Monday, which is always immediately interpreted by a radiologist at this particular hospital. I was told on Monday that the mammogram was normal, and that visit is now routinely followed by an appointment with the radiation oncologist. These visits take place once a year. So today the nurse who interviewed me before the doctor came in also weighed me. With clothes and shoes, I weighed 124.4 pounds. I believe that, in order to fit into my size two pants, I will probably have to lose 15 - 20 pounds. So that is my goal.

This morning at 9:45, I am on my way to see my radiation oncologist. Since on Monday I had a cancer-free mammogram, I assume I will get a good report from her. Here are some of the strategies to improve my weight loss: 1) Weigh myself every Saturday morning after eating breakfast 2) Hydration goal 8 8-oz. glasses of liquids--more water instead of juice 3) Two cups of coffee a day to keep my energy level up 4) Stick to my prudent mostly plant-based diet 5) Do vigorous walk with the walkers club at the building for seniors where I live 5) Do the Nu-Step at maximum weight resistance for 1/2 hour while reading my daughter's book (published author--brag, brag; full professor of law at a top-10 law school--brag, brag) 6) Start using the treadmill and the arm-exercise machine and building up to greater speeds/resistance.That's all I could think of regarding weight loss.
