Hi Everyone,
Lately I've felt that I didn't just fall off the wagon, but maybe the wagon ran me over. I've lost and gained more times than I care to even acknowledge. I had the Lap Band, and lost a significant amount of weight. Then, the band slipped and it had to be removed, I quickly started gaining back. Just when I was getting on track with eating healthy, excercising and losing again I had to have foot surgery and was taken out the game again. Now, I am 60 pounds heavier than I was this time last year. I know giving up isn't an option but it's so very hard. I keep losing and gaining, losing and gaining. I am at my witts end. I don't know what direction to go in. I'm doing weight watchers and working out as much as my foot will allow which is usually about 4 times a week 45 to 60 minutes at a time. I feel like I gain 3 pounds if I even look at anything other than a salad. HELP! I'm losing faith.

@Kbrown2930 it's harder around the holidays, too.
You log your food? When I stick to logging, even when it's just jotted in a notebook and not on the app, it helps me to stop overeating. When I look and see I had a snack an hour ago or a meal three hours ago, I know to drink some water or get a celery stick. It's not always easy, but keeping a log for a bit will show you when you start to lose control.
Don't lose faith. You knew enough to come here and share your feelings. Just posting here, you've opened the door to the possibility that things can change. You can do it. Just don't give up. Never quit!

You have no choice….. you must start logging your food intake.....you will be surprised how many calories you eating...
Exercise without controlling your food intake will not help, I guarantee it.

Check out Zero Belly Diet. There's a cookbook and website too. You ditch sugar, dairy, gluten, artificial sweetners & processed foods. You won't be hungry and it's a healthy eating lifestyle more than a diet. You'll be amazed at how fast you lose inches around your middle and weight in general. I've been on it since August and lost 13 lbs. I lost about 2 lbs a week and then dropped down to about 1lb a week, but it keeps coming off. I feel great and tons of energy. My fat pants are too big! The hardest part for me was giving up cheese, but the trade off is worth it. It's easy to follow it too. Plus you get one cheat meal a week. The only exercise I do is walking. I don't do ab exercises that are listed in the later portion of the book. You don't need to do them to lose the weight.

I whole-heartedly agree. You have to log your food intake either in a notebook or online for true weight loss success. Once I started logging my food I noticed that I was eating a lot more calories then I thought. I am glad that logging my food through my account on Fit Bit is made so easy.

My recommendation @Kbrown2930, don't stress out. Stress can also help your weight loss process to go even slower and you will feel more anxious, so try not to feel this way. You have done it before, you can do it again my friend, you got this!

1st-Just count your calories. No matter how hard it gets to look at what your eating, you gotta do it, and started making it a part of your life. 2nd- Buy foods that you enjoy, but try to make them low cal versions. Like for Breakfast- Go with a Smart One's Egg McMuffin-about 240 calories. Add half a hashbrown pattie from Ore Ida-,baked or made with no oil. Total Calories-315. Lunch- Healthy Choice- Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and a Dessert. Total Calories-320. Supper- Lean Cuisine- Salisbury Steak-180 calories. Add some 45 calorie Bread Slices. One or two- Total Calories for the three meals-905. Want to add a snack. Add the Fiber One Snacks at 70, 80, 90, or 100 calories. You can have one for mid morning, and one for the evening. Total calories-140. Your total count for this day could be 1045. The good thing is that you will not feel deprived or starving. Good luck. Fill up with lots of water with each meal or add the little packets of sugar free drink mixes to your bottled water.

@Kbrown2930- I am sure its been really difficult for you, but if you really want this, more than anything you have to take control. Starts with logging your food. Everything. Then making changes and choices that support your health- not what your brain is telling you it wants to eat. Then you start figuring out what movements you can do that won't aggravate your leg. Even sitting and lifting dumbbells will burn more calories than just sitting. Good luck to you in your journey- wishing you much success.
