Hello all and Merry Christmas,
Following this festive period, I enjoy eating everything in sight from choc's to crackers, however, I exercise fairly intensively, just to burn all that rubbish food off and not actually loose any weight. I have only a small amount of weight to loose (10kg) to put me back into the green on my BMI score.
So the question I have for everyone is, do you think it is wrong to like eating food that is labelled as bad or is exercising to eat bad acceptable. The thoughts on this topic would be most interesting.
Thanks.

Exercise really does not help you lose weight. It what you put in your mouth that helps you lose weight.
During holidays like today I do consume more than normal. But I get back on track the very next day and watch my intake.
I do exercise daily

I refuse to deny myself - I think that leads to binging. But I do watch portion size. It is true that it takes a surprising amount of exercise to burn away, say, a piece of cake.

well - if you only eat rubbish, then you probably wont stay healthy, bodies need some nutrition to stay in repair, like enough water, the vitamins that stop scurvy, and fibre. i know myself that the more processed food i eat the less energy i have and the more blemish prone my skin is, i also know if i have a spot like a blister that wont heal and i increase my intake of zinc rich foods it heals, drs will tell you too much fat is bad, and others have made documentarys on what happens with a fat and sugar rich diet, i think i remember rightly that the liver cant cope and people go pre diabetic. i cant say if excersice alone would cancel out an unbalanced nutritionally diet. there are always going to be 100 year olds who drank, smoked and ate rubbish and lived a long active life - listern to your body.

you need good nutrition to fuel your body and keep it running in perfect shape. would you consider putting diesel into a car that does not have a diesel engine? would you give your dog chocolate knowing it will make him sick? would you use harsh cleaner on your flat screen knowing it will damage the picture? would you give your phone a warm bath to keep it clean? no? then why would you treat yourself worse than all these things? if you have time to treat all these things as they should be treated- I am hopeful you will find the time for yourself. I love rubbish too- and once in a while I will take a bite of something awful- but as a rule- I treat me as well as I treat other things in my life.
