Lol the problem is not my weight, its how it's proportioned. I have no curves, small boobs, so the unwanted fat is located in my tummy area.
Small boobs are fine, not everyone likes siliconed bimbos. Besides, you will see as you get older women with smaller boobs are less exposed to the pitiless law of gravity
However, having had a look at your profile, I'm surprised someone your age doesn't average a higher daily step count. Even if you go to the gym and perform activities that don't yield that many steps, you should get more steps from your normal daily life. You had a few very good days earlier this month, but also quite many around 3000 steps, which is way too low. Get moving! Create a routine that will let you achieve a more regular step count; it doesn't have to be extremely high, but it should consistently be higher than 5000.

I agree about the sugar but I also have been keeping track of that. I eat some sugar but not into any of the "fake" sugar. I do not add any sugar to tea, hot or iced. I like it plain. I only use Plain Greek Yogurt. Maybe I am being too hard on myself...Would just love to see the belly do down more.

Yeah, i usually don't eat after 8, but I stay up really late sometime, so I mostly do it majority of the week. Also congrats on your weightloss!

I'm not sure why most adults think teens now a days are cery active... we really are not. Student athletes like myself go to school for 8 hours and are actually moving 40 mins of the time we are there, the rest of the time we're sitting in classes. So half of go home(sit in the couch), the rest participate in sports for 2.5 hours then go home. Therefore we really don't move around that much... thus the low step count. Earlier this mouth I was taking aerobics at school plus my after schol sport. But last week was finals and I spent alot of time on my couch studying/sleeping so barely moved... Also agreed, my friends and I joke about that all the time... they brag about their big boobs, I brag that they will sag sooner lol.

How about other "sugars"?....Bread, potatoes, rice, crackers, cereal, corn, ketchup, jam, honey, pretzles, etc. Many people forget about those, but they affect your belly as much as a spoonful of table sugar.

BMI under 20 is probably not necessary - kinda maybe a little too thin, I think, (me being a mom). Eats lots of veggies and fruit. Laugh and have fun.. Confidence and a great smile are more attractive than being too-thin! And make sure you are not slouching - stand like a ballet dancer, tall, and proud, chin up, because slouching causes a poochy belly. Also, at your age I had small boobs, no waist, and no hips -- I played volleyball, basketball and softball in school. The boys who liked me, liked me for my spunk, not my (lack of) curves. :).
I know school makes it really tough to eat right, and get a healthy workout, and do everything else as well -- so build in steps whenever you can, and eat as healthy as possible. Avoid soda and processed food.

I've read somewhere that stress can affect the way that fat is distributed on the body. Something about cortisol. I don't recall the details. Maybe it would be worth your time doing a bit of research.
I very much feel that BMI us useless unless you are obese
(which you clearly are not). When I got near my weight goal, if I believed the BMI charts, then I was normal despite the fact that I obviously had excess fat. If you are looking for a quantitative measurement of fat on your body there are ways to have it measured.
And if stress is contributing to the belly fat.... then maybe adding additional stress by excessive exercise and calorie restriction may make it worse.
About grains and starches... My body composition has definitely changed since cutting back on starches and processed food. I've read that it has something to do wiht insulin.

I would say try to do more core excercises. Some of them are fun.
Theres one I had a trainer call dead bugs:
thats where you lie on your back balancing a medicine ball between your arms and legs and move alternating arms and legs back slowly.
then theres simple leg lifts where you raise and lower your legs slowly with your hands under your butt
and I have a weighted hula hoop. That thing is fun.
For the butt, squats and lunges
and for the arms tricep kickbacks and rows if you have access to a gym
Whole thing takes like a half hour

If you don't weight train begin a weight training program to increase lean tissue which is metabolically
active and you will burn more calories, even while sleeping. Maintain a sensible diet, low in carbohydrates.
Perform cardio at least four to five times a week. No snacking, no soda's, plenty of water and no fast food.
All the best to you! Natasha
