Well back in October I got a fitbit aria smart scale and when I stepped on that scale, I said to my self, it's time for a change, so I started with a change in my diet and cut a lot of things out that weren't helping. Fast food, soda and sweets to name a few. I drastically changed the amount of water I drank, 8-10 cups a day and really started exercising regularly when I could. All the while logging everything on the fitbit app, which helped me see my progress in real time. Watching the chart go down with every pound shed was really an eye opener and also a huge motivator.
Then January rolled around and the charge hr came into my life. Not only did that give me more of a motivation boost, but just the accuracy it provided when I worked out to let me know I was actually doing everything right, that I was really pushing myself and made me even better with obtaining my goal. I felt happy each and everyday knowing that I'm getting closer and closer to my goal and I was doing it in a healthy way. It's now February, when I stepped on the scale this morning my eyes lit up...200lb. I finally after these 3-4 months of dedication, I lost all 20lbs of weight, but it doesn't stop here, now I can move on to the next goal of 180 and the hardest task of them all, maintaining it.
Now some will say I would have lost the weight regardless due to my lifestyle change, but the fibit arsenal kept me motivated at each and every step of the way. See my progression everyday kept me pushing, it made me not want to give up, it really made me have something to be proud of. I hope my little story of success helps keep others motivated, that with dedication, your goals will be achieved, and when you step on the scale that faithful day, you'll have a smile as big as mine.

Today I walked over 10,000 steps and it felt great to see that 0n my home page. When I was outside the fitbit vibrated and I did not know what it was at first. Good luck to you and I hope to read some more of your success

Great job!!! If anything, fitbit itself keeps you accountable. I find that I move around much more just so I can reach my step goal. People, in general, are very competitive, so give them a goal, they're more likely to to push harder!

Absolutely true for me too and very well worded. Add a few challenges every week and you are even more motivated
