I am 45 years old and weigh 130. When everything has been calculated it says I have a budget of 2000 to eat. I am a hairstylist and am on my feet all day and usually walk around 4 miles at least a day at work or over 15000 steps. At first I was losing weight cause I was running but now I am only doing the eliptical twice to three times a day from half hour to hour cause I am working so much. I would like to lose another four to five pounds Any help would be great. I dont know if i need to recalculate my budget.

You aren't going to know until you start logging your foods and the caloric count. If you don't loose weight and you don't gain weight then you are good at 2,000. If you gain weight you'll need to cut back calories to determine what you need to eat to lose weight if all other things (daily exercise, etc.) stays the same. Or you might need to continue eating 2,000 and jigger the carbs, fats and proteins. I am much taller than you and weight more and go to the gym at least 4x a week, but I can only eat about 1700 calories a day before I start gaining weight albeit very slowly - everyone is different metabolically.

agree 100% with the previous answer. Also keep in mind that the eliptical does not burn as many calories as the treadmill, bike or stairmaster. It is the lowest of all cardio.

As long as you remember a few important details:
Restaurants like Applebee's or Fast Foods like McDonald's. They tend to over salt the foods (super high sodium), their breads are processed (high carbohydrates), and they don't use lean meat (super high fat). Starbucks and DD are others to avoid unless you choose the "Green" labels like Egg White Sandwiches (low everything high protein) and only coffee. Lattes are super high on the nutrition labels.
