If i moved from a low carb diet to another diet will i gain weight ?

well i've been on a low carb diet about 700/800 kcal a day for a month and i lost 6 kg and now i want to change to a more normal diet which is about eating everything only in small amounts ,which i've done couple of times before and lost weight slowly yet healthy

so my question is , will i regain weight if i moved from low carb diet 700/800 kcal to higher 1200 kcal a day , or is there some steps that i should follow before changing diets

please help cause i really don't know what to do and thank you

@jasmin97  To be cautious your could eat 900 - 1000 calories for 2 or 3 days and let your body adjust then if you are not gaining add the other 200 calories.

I think it's very normal wanting to move from a low carb diet to a more normal diet once you've achieved some your weight goals, but I totally agree with @Glenda, start eating a few carbs to let your body adjust and see how that works for you. If you don't gain any weight, you can add a few more calories. 😎

Yes, you'll gain weight if you switch back to a higher carbohydrate diet.  It will be water weight at first.  Every gram of carbs causes you to retain 2-4g of water.  That's why when you switched to a low carb diet you lost a ton of weight in the first week.  You flushed all the water.  So you'll gain that water weight back right away.

As far as gaining fat goes, let me ask you a couple questions.  Did eating more normal get you to the weight you weren't happy with in the first place?  Were you able to restrict the amounts you ate before when you were at a weight you weren't happy with?  I'm guessing not.  I never could.

Now, about your calories.  I'm going to assume your not an 80lb (36kg) child.  800 calories a day is not enough.  Eat more.

Do one of those resting metabolic rate calculators.  That's how many(ish) calories you'd burn if you were in a coma.  Basically, what you need to keep you alive.  That's the minimum calories you need be eating.  Also, don't eat like that for more than 2 weeks at a time.  Take week breaks every other week or every two weeks and eat at maintenance.  Helps preserve the metabolism.

You don't have to eat keto to be successful low carb, but you need to make low carb a lifestyle.  If there is a particular food your missing you can probably find a substitute or what I've found is that after a while those cravings just go away.  I haven't had pasta in 2 years and don't miss it.  In fact, the thought of eating pasta kinda grosses me out now.

However you decide to eat I wish you the best of luck and good health!
