My juice contains 4veg/1fruit ratio. No high calorie sugar laden beverages here. Just amazing health. My doctors concur!!

Here's an article that goes over some of the research about liquid carbohydrates.
What the research shows is this:
This makes the consumption of sugary drinks (fruit juice or soda) a major problem. People don’t compensate for intake and end up simply adding the massive amount of calories to their diet, which is often bad to begin with.

Again, we juice raw green vegetables. You should read your own articles.

Vegetables are a good food, not juice, because they contain fiber.
I consider it irresponsible to tell people who are mostly addicted to sugar, that Hey Here's an Easier Way to Consume it -- Don't Even Have to Chew.

I went vegan recently and have to suppliment my protein in a smoothie. I keep hearing we should have a large heaping platefull of greens daily. Frankly, I'm just not up to that much chewing. I use a Nutribullet (not it's cheaper cousin, Magic-bullet-it's not strong enough) and make a sludgey but healthy smoothie with 2 cups of greens, a carrot and celery (sometimes a banana to take the grassy edge off of it). Loads of fiber, all the nutrients and I can coast on the vegies the rest of the day. It's filling and I feel better. I used to juice a lot. I was amazed by the amount of waste created by two glasses of juice. If you are choosing between juiceing and store-bought pasturized juice--Juice it yourself. Pasturization kills the beneficial enzymes and a lot of the nutrients. Maybe try adding a small green smoothy daily. Nutibullet has been the only counter-top appliance I have used lately. They run around $80 on sale.

We give the pulp to the dog. She loves it and is bright eyed and healthy. The vet loves the idea. Every morning, as my husband prepares our juice for the day, our eight year old dog (who acts and looks like a puppy) sits by his side waiting for her pulp. Just be sure you check to make sure all the veggies and fruit are safe for dogs. Do not skip this step. You would be suprised at what animals cannot digest or what might be toxic to their systems. Also, do not leave lying around in a dog dish if they do not eat it. One hour tops, then back in the fridge.

Another great idea is buy a small, portable composter.

I do a bit of both: the stuff our dogs don't like, goes into the composter (yes, you can do this even in the middle of winter) and what the dogs can eat, they eat.
I only juice wheatgrass right now, and make a smoothy in the morning. Perhaps, as some people have mentioned in this discussion, since we didn't develop our diets based on liquid foods we should use our teeth to chew our food. Consequently, some of our early ancestors probably also died young if they developed any sort of dental problems. So liquid diets are part of a normal diet, but are not the only way to eat!
I make a smoothy with everything from avocados to zest from lemons and limes.

In a nutshell, a Smoothie is a blend of all the ingredients. Juicing extractes the into one container and sends solids like pulp and fibers to to a different containter. Differences and benefits of each are explained in website below.

I have a nutribullet & find I like it better than using a juicer. It isnt as expensive because I use the entire fruit/veggie & I think you get more nutrition that way. I do use some recipes from the reboot diet but usually have to cut recipe in half for the nutribullet. I am still fairly new to smoothies (about 2 months) & need to try some new recipes.

I juice daily while trying to lose 20 pounds I have a orange and carrot juice for breakfast and the fat sick and nearly dead grean machine for lunch which is 6 kale leaves 2 apples 2 cucumbers a celery stalk a thumb of ginger and one lemon! The kale is very strong like this to mask the kale I add beats to my lunch juice to mask the taste!! I eat a healthy dinner and workout 40-80 mins 6 days a week!
Happy weight lost! 🙂
PS stick with juicing first 2-4 days are the hardest get through those and you are golden my mom lost 100 pounds from juicing 4 months!!

I use Nutribullet and record what ingredients I put in
- Cup of Kale
- 3 Sweet Peppers
- 3 Cups of Mixed Berries
- 2 Tablespoons of Flax Seeds
- 2 Packets of sweetner
Gulp it down very quick and ignore the taste buds as it's good for you.
