Should I be eating my breakfast before or after I do my workout in the morning?

I always have breakfast before (fruit smoothie). But, as I only have a smoothie it digests a lot quicker than actual food. I can highly recommend a banana and berry smoothie though - as a newbie to jogging it has really helped my energy levels towards the end of my jog (if you can call it a jog)!!!

You'll get different opinions and views on this. I think ideally you would want to eat after your workout in the morning because your digestive system is working hard to process your food at the same time you are needing your blood supply to work hard in a workout. However, for myself, I have found I have eat a mid sized breakfast with good protein in it, or I get weak and the shakes when I get my pulse up. So, it's probably going to depend on what works for you best.

If you get sick during a workout, don't eat. If a workout energizes you, eat. It's about you and your body!

There is no right answer. If you feel sluggish after you eat breakfast then its obviously better to wait until you finish your workout. Conversely, if you feel limp and devoid of energy it might be you need to eat something before you get active.
