Well, here I go again!!!! I just can't keep my weight under control. I keep losing the same 8 lbs because I snack too much!!!! So, my goal is to lose 10 lbs and then stay there. 3.5 years ago I lost 50 lbs and I keep gaining and losing 5 - 10 lbs. Yikes!!!!

Hi, gang... it's been a long 2 years since I posted on a group here. I had several pretty intense life changes that derailed me completely... Lost a job, took a min wage job to tide me over... then broke my ankle last February... so couldn't get out and move...
And I was doing so well... had lost a total of 33 pounds prior to all the drama...
Started a new job June 1, 2018 that put me back to the "has enough" payrate... finally getting to where I can walk a little ways without discomfort on the ankle...
So, into 2019... I have gained all that I had lost plus about 3 pounds back... yuck... got it all to do over again... but at least I know I can!
214 on 1/9/19 - Ultimate start weight
214 - starting weight for the challenge
214 - current weight
214 - previous week's weight
1/9/19 - last weight/weigh-in
5 lbs (trying for 1 lb weekly) - goal weight for the challenge
209 - mini goal weight
174 by end of year (more if I can get moving better)- ultimate goal weight
Back in action (sort of) and hoping to make some progress. Are there any challenges going on that I can join? Granted, I'm not sure how much I will be able to do exercise-wise, but I'm ready to try to get moving again... I miss the days when I could walk 5 miles and not be wiped at the end...

Had a weigh-in yesterday. Since my son has been home from college we have done more eating out and big family meals than normal. I'm pleased to have lost a little during this first week of January. However, I'm going to have to kick it up to meet my goal of 205 by 2/14.

It doesn't look much in pounds but it is 200gm in my language so I am happy.
I am still having difficulty getting out of holiday mode even though I have been back at work for a week. And as for moving, I have no want to move. Summer is a killer in Australia and I'm sitting around in summer dresses under the air conditioning. I live in Western NSW so that is heading toward inland Australia and very hot. We are predicted to get to 44 degrees Celsius today and 46 for the next 3 days. That's 115 degrees Fahrenheit. It's not helping me get back into my walking groove but I did go to aqua aerobics last week and will again this week.

I started right after Christmas... I'm coming down slowly. My new knee doesn't like this weight and my old one isn't real happy with it either. I just have to get this weight off so my joints don't hurt so much.

Continuing with the approach that I have a food addiction. If I start with even a small portion of things salty or sweet, I won't stop until I've binged. Being able to accept that has made the last 2 weeks much easier.

The heat wave in Australia continues but I have toughened up and this week went to the gym, a late evening walk and water aerobics. I'm minus 500gm (3lb) which is exactly what I'm aiming for each week. Hooray!

down 2 lbs in 2 weeks. I am slowly getting my snacking under control. Now it is time to quit the grazing and mindless snacking!
