@Cele21.. hey there. you may want to check out  this link for a weekly weigh in... it is a group of lots of folks who post their numbers weekly. It doesn't have an end date, but you may find it interesting none the less.

I am 5'7" and over the past three years have packed on about 35 lbs.  Trying to use fitbit as a tool to help get me back to the days I looked forward to going for a run or working out.  Thanks for setting up this challenge - should be fun and motivating.

Welcome everyone! Nice to see so many new faces. Please tell us a bit about yourself and your journey if you feel comfortable doing so.

@emili - thanks for the link. I have always felt better weighing weekly, daily weigh-ins got in my head too much.

I wanted to edit my post and couldn't find a way how to, because I didn't put my USW which was 225.  Now at 208.  Hopefully 198 by the end of this challenge, and 175 eventually!

I am "shedding for the wedding".  Not mine, but my daughters. The mother of the bride should feel GREAT that day, not hideous.  I had just reached that point where someone pointing a camera at me brought great anxiety.  So, I have been working on changing that.

I also just retired (yay me) and now I get to exercise daily, and plan and cook healthy meals, hence I am off to a great start with 17 lbs down already.  Journalling and tracking is the answer for me.  I am travelling for 5 weeks in February-April, including a 16 day cruise, so that will be a challenge, with alcohol alone!  But, if I bear in mind I cannot drink Pinot Grigio like water, I should hopefully stay on track.

Thanks for the community to join!

I am 5'4" and over the past ten years have packed on about 50 lbs after starting an antidepressant for SAD.  I am 48 years old which makes it even more challenging to lose weight. I have a 30 year high school reunion and my husband's Navy reunion to attend this summer, so those are 2 of my motivators.

Last weigh in was exagerated as it was the weekend of a late Christmas party. Today's weight is much more realistic and it gives me a boost as the first loss of the year - starting out in the right direction!

Thanks for starting another 6 week challenge. Just to update, I'm an Aussie and my dates are backward and we work in kilograms.

GW - 88.1kg (194.2lb)

MGW - 86kg (190lb)

I pretty much dipped out of the last challenge and have been away so when I weighed myself this morning it was sad. But hey.....I had a great Christmas Break and ready to get back into moving!

Been away from this for a year but time to get back to it.  Daughter wedding in September and want to drop 35lbs.  Plus know the doctor isn't going to like it when she sees I haven't lost much. Plus gonna end up diabetic as I am already pre-diabetic.
