Has anyone used this scale before? It's really cool, but rather puzzling, and one result has me scratching my head for sure. It tells me I have 4 lbs of visceral fat and 17.3% subcutaneous fat and the 17.3% was labeled HIGH. I am a 58-year-old woman and I double-checked that the settings in the FitDay app were correct as to the sex and age. 🤔 Is that correct? Is this the new trend for older women? Is there some new body fat chart I am supposed to start following where 21% total body fat is HIGH for an older woman? 😆

Well shoot, I was hoping someone might know something because I asked my doctor today and she had no idea either. I sent a message to Oxiline asking them and haven't heard anything. Thank you anyway and good luck to everyone on their journeys! 😘

@puppylover321 I'm sorry that no one answered sooner. Your question is very specific and your post has a relatively low number of views. I'm trying to find the original reference source, but two other sites say that 21% body fat in a 40-60 year old woman is underfat. The categories are Underfat, Healthy, Overweight, and Obese. It's not clear from your post if this number is coming from OxiLine or FitDay, but I would ask for their source. Fitbit consistently provides reference sources for statements made in their Help articles.

Thank you for your reply. ❤️ I goofed, my body fat is actually 24%. So no worries there. I think that having my subcutaneous fat labeled as HIGH by the app might mean that I have the dreaded 'skinny-fat' syndrome going on. I am a chronic pain patient and am limited in my ability to exercise anymore. At any rate, thank you so much!

@puppylover321 Skinny fat syndrome, thin fat obesity, or normal weight obesity refers to a situation where you have a high percent body fat and a normal weight. You have a low percent body fat and should disregard that wacky subcutaneous fat category,

I just got mine yesterday. I've set it up with Fitbit, it's on Fitbit's list of 2nd party apps, but the weights etc is not syncing in the app. I came on here to see if anyone else has any advice. Wondering if you have to have Fitbit premium?

To anyone looking to buy from this company-Disrespectful, Heartless Customer Service — Shop Elsewhere
I recently found myself in the most frustrating and heartless situation after my husband’s tragic passing. My husband accidentally ordered two pulse oximeters. He only had the chance to open one of them before he passed away—tragically, the second one was still in its unopened mailing package.
I attempted to return them, only to find they were just outside the 30-day return window—by one week and one day, respectively. Hoping for some compassion and understanding, I contacted customer service, explaining my situation. After all, I’m a widow, living on disability, waiting on an understaffed government to process my benefits.
Instead of empathy, I was offered a $25 credit for each of these brand new, $98 items—a paltry offer that barely covers shipping costs, let alone compensates for the heartache and distress I’ve been through. This is how they treat the widow of a recently deceased veteran and civil servant.
To say I’m disgusted is an understatement. If you don’t want to give your hard-earned money to a company that couldn’t care less about their customers, I strongly suggest you shop elsewhere. These people have shown nothing but cold indifference and heartlessness.
