Hi
I've been working in the fitness industry (sometimes full time sometimes part time, but never stopped after finishing school) for about 8 years.
Here is my philosophy behind losing/maintaining weight.
When someone makes the decision to lose weight there shouldn't be a in need to be there in two weeks and I will just stop eating or I will go on this no carb, fat, sugar, .... (You get the point) diet
Start making good choices and eat less. The use small plates and silverware trick totally works, eat slow, and always leave something on the plate. Also, work out! Always, not because you have to. Find something you like. I love teaching group fitness and LesMills classes are my favorite, so even on Sunday's (I don't teach on Sunday's) I go to the gym and take someone else's class!
DONT GIVE UP. just because you blew a meal does not mean you have to blow the entire day or week, month... 😉 stay on track and don't wait for next Monday to start.
In general you are changing your lifestyle forever and ever. That doesn't. Mean no more cookies or chips or whatever it is you like... I came to the conclusion, I just don't buy any and if I really really want them, well, I'll have to go shopping for a box of cookies. (Chances are I won't go because I don't feel like getting in the car and getting them 😉)
