Hi,
Just looking for some advice.
I'm currently in Ketosis and have been for 6-7 weeks, 3 weeks ago I tried counting calories, I significantly reduced the amount of calories I was consuming each day while remaining in Ketosis.
My weight loss stopped and started to go back up, I have no idea why.
So now for the past week I've consumed massive amounts of calories and really increased my fat consumption, it seems to have worked I've lost 2.6kg (5.7lbs) in the past week, which is significant.
The problem is I've felt really lethargic for the past 4-5 days, my Ketones haven't gone above 5 mmol/l and have generally been around 3.2 - 4.0
Any ideas? I'm really pleased with the weight loss, not so much with having chronic fatigue, it's not like I've just started Ketones and getting the Keto Flu....
Cheers

Are you drinking enough water? Diets high in protein require a lot of water. At the same time, need to keep your electrolytes in balance. Look into that online for more info. Hope that is helpful.

when you tried counting calories, what were your macro ratios at that time? were there more carbs than before? and when you went back to eating more fat, what did the carb intake go down to?
finally, it is the flu season. it's possible you're just coming down with something.

If you are on LC diet you really need to increase you sodium. Dr. Stephen Phinney says you should drink 2 cups of bouillion a day. This will prevent the lethargic feeling or the low carb flu.

I suggest you swallow 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (organic/ virgin) per day. Bingo, the body fat/ weight should fall off. I am guessing you havent kept your good fats up. Let me know if this works....
