@kmme good luck to you too!
I've been planning out some new 5k routes & going to do some more of my bootcamp DVD to mix up my routine a bit, hopefully a change of scenery & different exercise will be a bit more of a motivator to reach my goal for this challenege!

Welcome to all! For those that are new to this, it is simple - we check in with our current weight, and talk about how far along we are, where we get stuck, where we succeed. When I got off track, the support and suggestions got me right back on track. For me, being involved here and the connections with others keeps me focused on eating well, drinking enough water, and moving a lot more. Reading about other's activity plans and accomplishments becomes a model for me. Hearing about others' struggles, makes mine feel normal and easier to cope with. I have found this group to be thoughtful, kind, open, and very helpful. And very direct, which I love.
We are doing this together and that means we can succeed!

Goals - please keep in mind that Halloween is 7 weeks away and goals should be realistic. My fantasy weight and what I can do in that time are very different. We also need to do this in a healthy way, which means nothing drastic, but a lasting change in habits. This is more about a healthy life and taking good care of ourselves than just a number on a scale. At least, that's how I see it.

Very well said @Bobbinyc
I'd LIKE to see a 25 lb drop by Halloween, but within 7 weeks, that's just not realistic. I think I'll be looking at 10 lbs, max 15lbs and that would be a lot and very consistent.
And YES! it's about being kind to your body, getting healthier, happier, fitter and then the weightloss is coming on its own!
I just stepped on the scale and (after having a bit too much Ciabiatta and Cheese yesterday) these are my official stats below. I am aiming for 10-13 lbs by Halloween and a similar amount for Halloween to New Years. With a healthy drop of 1.5-2 lbs per week this is challenging enough for me.
Halloween Challenge
USW Jan 1 - 284 lbs (size 22/24)
CSW Sep 4 - 225.6 (size 16)
GW - 213

Hi WiggyWag 🙂
USW stands for Ultimate Start Weight which is the weight you originally started at (for me that would be my weight as of January 1, 2015)
CSW stands for current or challenge start weight and is the weight you are starting out with today.

I've lost 40 lbs since getting the FitBit in February and hit my Labor Day goal of 175 lbs. Hoping to get down another 10 lbs by Halloween then look to build more mass and get toned over the winter as the weather makes it harder to get outside and run.
