I don't think so I joined last week. I am not sure who is the

We are sharing the admin/moderation this time. It's just a lot easier and not as straining on one person alone.

If there are any questions you can message me, since I set up the post originally.

Hi, Mermaid3011. I'ma newbie and really like this challenge you have set up (and your co-administrators). I've had a fitbit (first a Flex and now a Charge/HR) but never went into the community boards until very recently.  This is my first challenge, and can I use the help.

I'm trying to figure out how things work.  What does it mean, or what happens when you put and @in front of a person's username?  Does it send a message directly to them?  Or is it just to reference to whom you are replying?  Thanks in advance for any clarification.

Thanks so much! But you are doing pretty well too!! A 4 mile walk is not too shabby!! I dont think I could do that right now just off the hand. I would need some practice too! Or at least I'd be falling of the treadmill after the 4th mile! LOL

I really think the regular PiYo workouts have really changed a lot these last few weeks. Since I am running challenges and taking part in challenges I am more accountable for my own actions. I am trying to motivate others to do the same thing: eat well, exercise, lose weight. So I "have" to go along! It's actually really motivating for me. 🙂

Hoping for another nice loss soon and maybe even getting out of th 20s this month! that would be awesome!! 5-6 lbs per months and New Years may even see me go below the 200s!! Woo hoo!!!

Oh and another little non scale victory: I took Yoga Pictures today and guess what!!!

After losing almot 60 lbs I can SEE MY COLLAR BONES!!!

it makes me so happy I want to yell it out to the whole word!

🙂

Hi Jacqueline,

Welcome to our group first of all!! it's great to have you! There is no right and no wrong! We just keep it friendly and supportive around here. 🙂

And to your question: as far as I know there will be a message sent to the person who is "spoken to" by adding the @ before their name, so they know they are receiving a direct reply on one of their postings.

If anyone knows a better explanation please go ahead! I wont be offended! LOL

I totally get that 😁 I still love being able to see my collarbone... Sad that I had to wait until I was 56 to be able to see them... Lol

Anyone that would like to do the C25k challenge program with me & @Mermaid3011 you should!!

My first day I did it I completed 1.75 miles in 30 minutes & the second day I did 2 miles in 30 minutes. Today I'm hoping to squeeze it a little further and get more distance in.

I had a personal trainer evaluate me and give me workouts to complete yesterday so I took a break from my normal routine. Found out what my strengths & weaknesses are. I HIGHLY recommend getting professional advice at least just once from a qualified person (doctor, trainer, etc) because what I thought I needed to do to work on my problem areas were not even close to what he suggested. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

@Mermaid3011 going  below 200 should feel fanstastic.  It felt good for me when i got out of the 300's.  I am 6"6' so my ugw will be somewhere between around 220-235.

I am doing the C25K, and it's an awesome app. I'm at week 7 I think, jogging 25 minutes. I typically do it on a treadmill so I can set a conservative pace and keep it up. When I jog outside, I tire out, maybe I go too fast, or maybe it's terrain, or maybe it's all in my head.

Anyway, I don't have a distance for my time, cuz of the treadmill. BUT, I remember week 1 when I didn't think I could survive jogging for 1 minute. It's progress. I think the app builds slowly, and lots of weeks, I didn't quite make it through the jog time, but still kept inching up. So it took me a couple of extra weeks to get to week 7.

Life isn't a race.

And, *drumroll*, I made my labor day goal today. OK, it's after labor day, but still, I am delighted. Now, on to Halloween.

To fitness... AND BEYOND!

I too have the app and have used it on and off. I need to get at it as I
have a 5K to run in December. My day is quite active, but I too need to
get food (and cocktails) under control.

So far I have lost, then gained, then lost the same 3 lbs. but I will cut
myself some slack as I have only had my Fitbit for 2 weeks.

I will weigh myself tomorrow (and post) and see where I am.

I have great respect for all who have lost a significant amount of weight
and
Managed to keep it off.
