Looking for Weight Loss Buddies/Support!

ANSWERED

I'm new to Fitbit and very seriously trying to lose some weight, I have at least 100 pounds to lose.

My boyfriend has been very supportive to me and is dieting/exercising as well but I definitely need an outside weight loss buddy.

Anybody!

Let's do this together, guys! 😄

I've had my fitbit for a little while now, but I haven't done much with it.  I've participated in goal days, and workweek hustles, but other than that I haven't done much.  I need to loose about 30-40 pounds, and am having a hard time motivating myself to do it.  If you want, add me so we can motivate each other.  My email address to find me is tahsbraves09@icloud.com.

Hi ~ I'm Donna and would love to add you as my friend.  I have had my Fitbit for awhile and I only tracked my steps with it up until now.  I would really like to get cracking.  I have like 40 ` 50 lbs to lose.  I also have a hard time getting motivated.  I do good and then eat.  I do try to excercise everyday.  I walk with Leslie Sansone.  I am starting her walk it off in 30 today.

Hello, I just got my fitbit a few weeks ago and could really use some motivation. I have about 75 pounds to lose and I have a desk job that I work between 45-50 hours a week at so I could really use some motivation to keep me on track.

Hi Kiki -

I totally feel you -- I sit at a desk upwards of 60 hours a week and it's really hard to get all my steps in each week.  Sitting on your duff all day is an easy way for pounds to get added on.  I've lost 75 and still have about 40 more to go.

I sent you a friend request -- although still waiting on a replacement fitbit.  I'm tracking almost nada at the moment, but I'll be back to it soon 🙂

Hi Kellie! Thank you for the friend request! Its nice to have someone who understands desk work makes it extra hard to lose weight. How long till you get your replacement fitbit? My wrist feels naked when I have to charge it, I can't imagine not having one at all.

Congrats on the 75 pounds! I would love any tips you might have that helped you lose it. Evening is the worst time for me when it comes to eating right and I feel tired at night and don't have the motivation to go for a walk. What's your secret?!?! 🙂

Hi!  I'm fairly new to Fitbit and am so ready to lose those pesky pounds!  Around 65 of them!  I could really use some outside encouragement.  And will absolutely return the favour.  So please feel free to add me.  Thanks!

Hello everyone,

Two years ago I lost 60 pounds and have now gained some of it back. Bought me a fitbit charge a few weeks ago and I am loving it. Since getting my fitbit, I have routinely walked over 1000 steps a day and I track all of my food intake with myfitnespal. And I am losing the weight again.

I would be happy to include all of you as a fitbit friend so that together we can motivate each other to continue losing the weight that we need or would like to lose. Feel free to add me as a friend and I will do the same.

Good luck on your jouneys!!

Hi Kiki -

I actually just got my replacement fitbit this evening.  I'm setting it up and charging as we speak.  Hopefully this one tracks better than the last one.

As far as my secret -- not much of a secret.  With my doc's approval -- I cut WAY DOWN on sugar and carbs, cut portion sizes, added a ton of vegetables, drink plenty of water, added in more whole grains/less white flour, and started walking 2-3 miles a day.  And my doc was adamant I increase my good cholestrol by adding fish oil, salmon, avacado, and walnuts/almonds to my diet.  My cholestrol wasn't bad -- but the good number could've been better.

The big thing that really seemed to help was having healthy snacks at my desk -- I write from home so that's a little easier for me.  I usually take a late morning break and slice an apple, get a cup of grapes or strawberrys, get 2 oz (about 1/4 cup) walnuts/almonds, and a banana/carrot and celery EVERYDAY.  I also mix in some other stuff here and there -- as long as it's healthy. I munch in the late morning and then after lunch -- all day long as I write... and it helps me keep going all day without ever feeling hungry. By the time dinner rolls around, I'm not starving (which I always was before -- I'd barely eat all day and then by dinnertime, I'd be famished and overeat -- or snack all night.)  It also limits what I eat for lunch.

So basically -- I did what we're all supposed to do.  I fail sometimes and just have to have a freaking cookie, but I don't beat myself up about it and limit the splurge.  I refuse to be a slave to food and if I want it, I want it. As long as I limit and exercise a little harder the next day, then it'll all be good.

Now that I got back from my trip to New Orleans -- where I ate every friggen thing I wanted -- I've been struggling.  I haven't lost one pound in three weeks -- haven't gained, either, but I'm stuck.  Hopefully now that my new fitbit is here, I'll get my butt in gear.

Hope you're doing well 🙂

Hi my name is Stephanie and I'm actually not new to fitbit. Have had a fitbit since December. I've been on my weight loss journey for 11 months now and have lost 96 lbs. I need to lose about 30 more to be where I would like to be physically and healthwise yet it is getting sooooo much harder. Also, I've started eating more again lately, sometimes upwards of 3000 calories a day (i burn probably 3500 or more a day on average). Really need some buddies to help hold me accountable and also some advise on burning the last 30 lbs!!! I've gotten the working out down no issues. I workout 7 days a week an hour a day or more. I was doing almost exclusively cardio (an hour on the treadmill or elliptical or combination of both), but have started some strength training (lifting small barbells and doing core exercises like planks, etc). Would love to add some new friends and also get some advise!!

I'm 57, 5ft 3in and I've managed to get down to 9st from 10st 8lbs which of course I'm delighted about. But my goal is 8st 7lbs and I got within a hair's whisker of that last October but then my weight went back up to 9st and I cannot seem to get back on track and this is very much a Grrrrrrr feeling! I eat healthily but unless I have a specific plan for each day's eating I tend to let my guard down and can eat too much.

So, I'm looking for shared experience and inspiration please.  My Fitbit has been very useful and I've just attained my Nile badge so exercise is not a problem but getting the last half stone off definitely is.

Hi!

I'm new to fit bit and would love some buddies. No one I know really uses fitbit. I have 50lbs left to lose of my 100lb goal. I would love people to participate in challenges with or something. 😄

I would love to have a weight loss buddy also.  I need to lose about 60# and have done it before with Weight Watchers and exerise.  I have a hard time counting calories, but the scales says I need to do something now! So today is the start of being very agressive with my diet and exerise.
