Looking for motivation, and inspiration!

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum, but have had my FitBit for a little over a month now. I'm 30 years old and a former athelete. Due to two ACL injuries, I've put on a lot of weight. I stopped playing volleyball, stopped working out, all because it was just too painful and I let my injury be my crutch/excuse.

NOT ANYMORE!

I'm looking for friends to add to challenge me on workouts and steps. I'm 6' and 300 pounds. Idealy, I'd love to lose 100 pounds, but I'm going to take it 25 at a time. I work in an office and getting up and walking around just isn't an option for me since I'm required to be at my desk. However, I do workout (just started a new workout plan the past week) and also coach volleyball, which helps keep me moving and reaching my step goal, which is at 8,000 steps currently.

Please message me or add me. I'm looking for people with similar goals to help inspire and motivate me to reach my own goals as well. Thanks!

Welcome! I've been using my fitbit for a week and so far the thing I've been loving most about the community are the challenges. Once you've got a few people on your friends list make sure to give them a try they're super motivational!

I'm in a similiar boat, or will be soon.  I'm having knee surgery (tibial osteotomy) in just under two months and I won't be able to walk for at least two months!  Scared of what being laid up for so long will do to me physically, but it can't be avoided.

Until then though, I plan on walking my butt off!  Like you, I'm chained to my desk all day so I have to do most of my walking after work.

Would love to do some challenges!
