Hello ladies!
I feel terrible, I had no idea this thread was still active. I had marked it as solved and thought it was just going to fall off the boards as other threads were started.  I apologize to those trying to follow that link! I started a new group for women wanting to stay involved and chat daily.  Here is the link for those who want to join

Hey Seattle! I've just gotten started with this thing...been at it maybe 30 days. I've found that if I just don't stress over each day it's easier. I've gotten lazy about the water drinking lately too... but if it's the only thing in the house to drink... then that's what I drink. At work it is literally the only option, which helps.

My mother-in-law has this saying written on her mirror: If you fall off the wagon, the wagon will wait for you.

Or something like that. It seems to help me relax about the days I'm not so good about the calories.

Hello, I am pretty new to Fitbit, started in February. Though i am not 40ish! and need to loose way more than 30+ pounds,  I still would love some support! Would love to join your group if you will have me!!

Since starting to change my diet and exercise, since January 2014, I have lost 27.6 pounds! I still have lots more to go. My first goal is to loose 68.4 pounds more by June 25th and then loose the remaining weight by November 8th.

Always good to have someone positive to push you. There are ups and downs and emotional roller coasters with weight loss and people cheering for you is always great motivation. 🙂

Hi Ladies!  I joined this group awhile ago, was going along pretty well for the first couple of months.  Then got pretty busy, travel, knee injury etc. and fell off the wagon. 😞  I have been pretty lax the last two months or so and am ready to jump back on the horse!   I haven't gained any wieight, thats a plus, but haven't lost any either.  Let my eating habits slip too.  Anyway, I  have found support is best on this journey!  I have about 15-20lbs to lose.  I'm 45, a photographer living in Chicago.  Now that the weather is getting better (FINALLY!) I can get outside to walk and move more.  Hope you all will welcome me back and we can go through this together. 🙂

Hi ladies!

I just got my Flex on Tuesday, been wanting one for quite awhile, and finally ordered one on Mother's Day 🙂  I knew getting 10K steps wouldn't be a problem for me, as I work in retail, and I'm a busy mom of two boys. I've been called "Overachiever" by this little device two days in a row, so I guess I need to up my goal LOL!

So I am 39, and I've noticed a bit of an expansion happening around my middle lately.. I have a pretty good metabolism, and I look thin, but when my pants aren't fitting properly and are uncomfortable, as sometimes happens after a long, cold winter like the one we just came out of (especially eating all that comfort food, am I right?), I know I need to get more active.

I have used Weight Watchers to control my weight after having my boys, quite familiar with the plan and still basing my calorie intake on the point system. With the nicer weather comes the desire to get out and do more. I often do "the stairs", living on an escarpment, we have several stairscases from one level to the other at various parts of the city here. I also love Wii's Just Dance, and getting out and tossing the ball with my husband and my kids.

I like having this constant reminder to keep moving, so far it's working quite well. I love the charts and graphs, and would appreciate some fellow motivation.

My biggest problem right now is always feeling hungry! I used to be more tolerant of that feeling and now, not so much!

Thanks for reading 🙂

I'm in!  Want to really get some premenopausal weight off.  Would love to have others than can understand a busy lifestyle that keeps me from exercising more.  Can chat sometimes during the day but not all day.

Hello! I am 45 and around 35 pounds overweight. I am looking for motivated women that like to encourage others and receive encouragement from others. I am not an exercise junkie. Walking or riding my bike is my best effort. I do get on healthy eating kicks but they do not last very long. I have had success in the past with an Atkins type diet, but as of now, I have gained back my weight. It took 4 years to gain it back. I know  that to be successful, you have to committ to life changes. I am going to start again, but this time I am going to make the changes small so that I may be more likely to keep them permanent. Let's do this!

I'd love to join this group! I've gone through 3 fitbits in the last few years. I'm 42, and have put on ~ 25 pounds since I changed jobs to a more sedentary one about 2 years ago. I just got a new Zip for xmas. I've been sidelined ALL summer with Achillles Tendonitis so my walks have been minimal. I'm hoping to get in for some PT in the New Year to finally address that problem and to break in my new Fitbit.

Looking forward to chats and motivating each other!
