Looking for weight loss buddies! F/5'1"/125lbs

I'm looking for weight loss buddies of any gender/weight/age/etc, but would love if there were any other short gals like myself (a mere 5'1") looking to drop some lbs who would like to tough out the journey with me. Not gaining weight has always been a huge challenge for me, because at 5'1" I have a mere BMR of 1300-1400, and I looove food. So, staying active and keeping calories in check is hard, and I'm sure I'm not the only shortie going through the same thing :).

Hello, I am a shortie too!  I went from 127 to 118 and very happy with my weight.  If I lose more, that's okay with me too.  What do you do in terms of exercise and diet?  I love food too, but learned to deal with it in moderation.

I am a mere 5'1" also (Just a touch under but, I round up). I would love to help motivate and be an accountability partner.

I hear ya with the love for food and the limited amount of calories. Sux big time as my DH is 6'2" and can eat anything.   Us shorties, it seems look at food and can gain weight.  I'm a neebie on the Fitbit, just have had it a couple of weeks and today learned it tells you the number of calories you have burned. COOL!

Hi there :)! For exercise, I work 4 days a week as a cocktail waitress, which usually puts me at 2300kcal burned for the day, and on my 3 days off I run/lift weights and try to burn 300-500 calories those days, which also generally puts me at 2300-2600kcal for the day. I eat generally what fitbit tells me I should or a bit under, so around 1500-1700 a day. I am losing weight, it's just a slow process Smiley Tongue. How about for you?

It is great knowing how many calories I burn in a day! Previously I had a chest strap heart rate monitor, so I only knew how much I burned during workouts, not the entire day like I do with fitbit. I know what you mean about feeling like we can just look at food and gain weight.. my boyfriend is 5'10" and in trying to gain weight since he's skinnier than he wants to be, has a hard time eating 3500 calories a day.. I'm so jealous lol

I eat 5-6 small meals a day and drink 64oz and up of water.  I work out 4 to 5 times a week.  30 minutes cardio and weight training 2 to 3 times a week.  Squats, lunges, ab exercises, bicep curls and tricep extensions.  It took less than six months, slow and steady.

Cardio Fix Extreme workout completed this morning.

Nutrition is planned and I am just executing the plan according to the 21 Day Fix Extreme nutriton guide. So far I like it.

How's your workouts going? How about nutrition?

That sounds like a cool program! I've been doing HIIT intervals on the treadmill 3 days a week, and I waitress the other 4 days so I count that as some of my cardio :p. So far so good. Nutrition not doing as hot.. Visited my parents yesterday and really blew it on crap foods. I'm back on track today though. I go for a 25% carb/35% protein/40% fat ratio for my nutrition

Hi Sherry

Log your food and do 10,000 steps and the pounds will disappear slowly for me but we are all different.

Best in health,

Barb

Hey there! I'm 5'2" and I started at 127 lbs. I'm at 118 now. Weight loss seems to be so slow for us shorties!

Hey!

I am new to here and also looking for friends / buddies. I am also a short ass, I am 5ft SHORT which means I do also have a low BMR and calorie amount to keep in check! I am also a food lover (OMG I find it so difficult to say no one someone offers me food!)

Feel free to add me, would be great to share the experience with someone.

Thanks!

Jade 🙂
