All this five classes of food helps a lot during the process of losing
your weight.. Sometime in some cases, some will look shapeless after
losing weight because they do not know the food to eat while they work
on their weight...

All this food helps them to get stronger and more active...like fish,
eggs, apples, turkey and avocado..each and everyone one of this food
have it own functions in the body system.. It keeps you fit as you
lose weight so as to stay more healthy and refreshed....

I'm a 60 year old man. Now recumbent road cycling about 1.5 hours every other day to lose weight. My weight blossomed to over 200 pounds because of the pandemic stay-at-home situation in March. In April I started dieting and cycling again after a 10-year absence.
 
I'm doing the an extended 10-day detox diet by Mark Hyman, MD (A fantastic book). No carbs, no sugar, no processed food, lots of lean protein & non-starch vegetables. Always lose about 30 pounds on it. Done it twice before for 2-3 months. So far down 8-pounds and BMI 33.5 down to 32.
 
  • My pre-exercise food is a small bowl of blueberries, blackberries, 1-tangelo, with 16 oz water. After an hour I eat eat 2-figs or 2-dates and some almonds for some energy.
  • During rides i drink 24-36 oz water . 
  • Post ride I try to eat come protein like fish or chicken with some good fat like an avocado or some nuts.
What do you think the best pre-ride breakfast is to lose weight?
What do you think the best post ride meal is to build muscle and lose weight?
