Losing weight too quickly?

when I started my quest to lose weight I fully expected my weight loss to steady out slightly after a couple of months- however, if anything, each week I weigh myself the decrease is greater than the week before.
For example, in the past week I have lost 3.6 lbs. Being that this is my third month of clean eating & increasing exercise, is it healthy to maintain this level of weight loss?
Simply put, is the myth that losing weight too fast means it won't last true?

I think the healthiest way to lose weight is 1 to 2 lbs a week.   eat more!   LOL

I believe that it all comes down to a lifestyle change.  If you are eating clean now and exercising then once you lose the weight you want to, simply maintaing the lifestyle change- though eat your maintenance calories without a deficit to avoid losing more weight.

Don't start drinking and eating junk.  I have known several people who once they have lost the weight go back to their old habits and the weight slowly creeps back up.

Oh...to have the issue that you are experiencing 😉

@Daisychain96 really only you can answer that question. How do you feel? do you feel weak, dizzy, hungry, confused? If yes, then you are not eating enough and thus losing too fast. If no, then you are losing as much as your system can handle. I'm not sure I understood if this is the first week you have lost weight or if this is the first week in three months you have lost this much? Either way- how do you feel. And could it be water and sodium and more productive waste elimination. I lost weight really fast and I am in my second year of maintenance. Its what you do after you lose that will determine what happens. Much success!!!

Take it slow. Nature happens better slowly.

I was obese (225+ lbs.) a year ago. I set my goal to lose 1 lb. per week. I lost 57 lbs. in 52 weeks, and used that time to develope good habits.

Exercise and a well rounded healthy diet will yeald the best long term result.

Well I have been averaging 2lb a week since the beginning of the year. So it isn't out of the possibilty.
