Hello guys , I've started coming to my senses and started to lose weight , I started around 2 month ago at 15st 1lb , I managed to get down to 14st 3lb , but last 15 days I've been celebrating with family so eating junk food and I've got back up to 14st 10lb, but what's really confusing me is that my fat % is 23 , I don't know if its possible maybe most of its water weight as I had quite alot of liquids during in that time,
Summary: I'm pretty chubby and have 23% fat percentage, but when I had 28 fat % , I weighed less 15 days ago when i started eating junk food again

@Axey Good for you Axey, making an effort. There are very smart people in this group that probably will give you a good technical answer. However I have read an analysis of fat % devices that said none of them work very well including those that cost something like a thousand dollars. The only accurate way is dunking you in water and it is very expensive. So I wouldn't get to excited about the fat %. If we start now to persist in eating nutritions unprocessed real food with fewer calories we can lose weight. This definitely is the most difficult season but we are just about through it. Lots of people defend the fat % scales by saying even if they are wrong the "trend" matters,

Hi @Axey — @Glenda makes a good point about how inaccurate fat % estimates can be. And no matter the method of measurement, the readings can be greatly influenced by how long it has been since you last ate or drank, and changes in body hydration.
More important that the reading on a given day is the trend over time. And, like weight, you get a better idea of the trend if you check it under the same conditions every time (first thing in the morning after waking up and going to the bathroom tends to be best).
