May 25th to July 4th 2020 Challenge

Hello and welcome to the 4th challenge of 2020!

We are celebrating our scaled and non-scaled victories and progress. Any one is welcome to join at any time, just hit reply on the most recent post and let us know a bit about yourself.

Following are some acronyms typically used by those who post. Some of us also track body fat or measurements, etc. please add those as you wish.

 

USW - Ultimate start weight

SW - starting weight for this challenge

CW - current weight 

PW - previous week's weight/weigh-in

LW - last weight/weigh-in

GW - goal weight for the challenge

MGW - mini goal weight

UGW- ultimate goal weight

USW - 218.0

Current starting weight - 210.2 (5/25/20)

LW - 205.0

CW - 208.0

GW - 204.0 (7/4/20)

Stretch goal weight - 200.0

Mini goal - 195.00

UGW - 150.0

 

So I did not meet my goal (again) but I did end lighter than I started. I'll consider that a win.

The next challenge will run from now until Labor Day so look for the title July 4th to September 7th 2020 Challenge. See you all there!

Well, I didn't make my goal weight for this one, but I did go down which is good.  I should have made my goal, but will continue to plug away at it.  I am almost 25% of the way to my ultimate goal weight.  Thanks to everyone on here for the encouragement and ideas!  Good luck on your journey to your goal weight, and hopefully when you get there you will have gained enough knowledge about your body and habits to maintain your goal weight.  Your body will fight you for quite a while to get you back up in weight until it adjusts to your new "normal".

Hello,

I’m sorry, forgot to post my weight. I had it planned for Monday, not the 4th, and I did not weigh myself.

So, I’m putting my weight for 7/1 at 215.8. Today, I weigh 215.6.  I actually wanted to meet my stretch…next time.

Good job moving in the lighter direction.

I lost 8/10 of 1 pound as of yesterday.

Actually I love the microwavable healthy choice bowls as they have greens, riced cauliflower, whole grains, & chicken, pork, beans, etc.. Even grilled chicken & salads at many fast food restaurant are a choice. I eat very good food but my weight loss is super slow. I think it is my nut munching late at night and my age of 79 yrs. I make my step goal of 3 miles of steps at least 5-6 days a week. 

Thanks for starting our challenge again.

Everyone tells their weight and things but I'll bet you would all tower over me and you all have much bigger bones.  I think it would be interesting if you added that.  The easy  test for bones is to wrap your thumb and middle finger around your other wrist where you would wear a watch.  When I do that my finger and thumb lap over lots.  (very small bones)  Medium bones your thumb and finger would meet.  Big bones they will not meet.  You are supposed to weigh more if you have big bones and some muscle.  Little bones should weigh 10% less than Ideal weight and since I've no doubt lost 30 % of my muscle being older that's probably another 10%.  Perfect for decades for me was 108   maybe now  should weigh less than 90???  lol   I'm 5'1.5"  Yesterday I weighed 116.4 (best of this week)
