Try the over-the-counter supplement "Black Cohosh" which is commonly used for hot flashes, assuming you haven't already. Most major grocery and drugstore chains carry it.

Hi
I hear what you're saying about not wanting to take medications but do look at the latest research into HRT. I recently was thrust into the grips of acute menopause symtoms due to surgery and had a total meltdown both emotionally and physically with no sleep to make it worse. My consultant at the hospital put me on an eostrogen gel (I'm in the UK - it's called 'Sandrena') and it stopped my hot flushes immediately and without that I could not have regained my health and vitality as I have done and am doing 🙂 I also purchased a wonderful fan which is a good friend to me. Maybe you could do your yoga at home with the fan on? Or is it that hot yoga you do? I reckon doing hot yoga with a hot flush mixed in would probably kill me 🙂 Have a look at the videos here: https://youtu.be/I1RtnxKy8TI?list=PLrrVqitgVyd_7_gWR7rH27bbwMZl8zybX Dr Annie Evans is a wonderful menapause guru who works in the city I live in. I wish I'd seen these videos years ago - would have saved me a lot of anguish and illness. Good Luck and I hope you reach your goals 🙂

I am not there yet, but I hear you on the sweating. I went from a person who would sweat like a normal person to ridiculous. The real kicker is when I weighed almost 200 pounds I didn't really break a sweat. At 134 pounds I look like a drowned rat after a brisk 15 minute walk. The only time I don't sweat is in the winter- because I freeze. I was told my body is just being super efficient. I think the universe is mad I gave up starch. Since I refuse to stop moving, I have embraced my sweaty self and keep buckets of moisturizer on hand for the never ending showers. Thankfully this doesn't happen at work.. yet.
