Hi I've been neglecting health and fitness for a while now. I am 25yo and I need to lose around 150lbs to feel normal again. I just got a Fitbit flex and in my first day, I recorded 9725 steps. That is a personal best for me. I request you all to help me out with some weight loss work outs and diet. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.

I started out with changing the way I eat.. rarely do I eat , rice or pastas .. Now I switched to yummier options.. such as spaghetti squash instead of pasta.. I put the sauce and chicken on top.. and I didn't feel deprived at all. I brought spiral vegetable's slicer..and wow.. I am making pasta noodles out of zucchini !
I have increased my water intake big time. Also, the fitbit reminds me that I need a few more steps to make reach my goal, so I either to the gym.. or go for a walk, or go up and down the stairs, take my dog for walk.. whatever I have to do to burn those calories. I am also eating much earlier. I eat nothing at 6 pm. Just water.. and if I can't contain my hunger I either have a small salad or a fruit. or water.
I was 222 , Now 212 and I have only had the fitbit a couple of weeks. I'm not starving myself at all and I am pre-diabetic.. I am praying when I go back to my endocrinologist that he says.. I don't need medication anymore. This is the first time I have lost weight and it's not coming back.
Tracking your foods is essential
Drink your water
and move your body.. whether the gym.. or dancing in your room or going for a walk.. Move.
You will sleep better.. feel better and thank yourself for loving yourself more.
If I can lose weight.. trust me you can do this.
Good luck!

I add to my egg whites, sliced peppers and spinach and tomatoes
1 slice of regular bacon.. I cut it in half
1 toasted thomas english thin multi grain english muffin
1 cup of coffee

Lunch
Tuna with white grapes sliced in halves
1 spoon of mayo with olive oil
2 slices of whole grain high fiber bread

Snack
Water and a fruit ( any fruit)

Chicken , fish, or even steak ( meat is either baked in olive oil or slow cooked with no added oils )
Veggies like Spagetti squash or zuchinni
Once a week I eat a pasta or a rice.. 1 cup only. I measure it.
I make sure I put it in my food journal as to not go over my calories.

I am only 5'4" and three years ago I hit my high weight of 285. I panicked, because I could see going over 300 in my near future. I totally get where you are-- I was always the biggest in my family too, and the healthy weight max for my height is only 145.... THAT was intimidating. I just want to say that you can do this. It won't happen overnight, but get your eating in order and keep moving. The weight will slowly go down. It did for me, particularly once I 'broke up with' sugar. (and didn't replace it with artificial sweeteners.) Over the past 3 years, I've dropped 133 pounds with 17 more to go until I hit my personal goal. It wasn't always easy, and to be honest these last 17 are a challenge for me!!! But bit by bit, I'm getting to my goal. There were times I was really discouraged, but just last week someone I hadn't seen in a long time DID NOT RECOGNIZE ME. It can happen. It's tough, but it can happen. Just focus on the next 10 pounds at a time. 🙂
