Well weigh in today was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. Only a little loss but a loss nonetheless. Considering when I did my mid week weigh in I was looking at a 1kg (2.2pound) gain

Yesterday was another busy day at dance comps - 14hrs in fact. Really reigned in my eating this time to avoid more weight gain and it seemed to pay off. We have one more day to go tomorrow so am planning on taking cold chicken and salad to avoid more nasties. But oh my goodness it was freezing yesterday and smell of the hot chips the canteen was cooking with the vinegar was driving me crazy.

If I can try and manage a 600g (1.3pound) loss this week I will be at my half way mark, so am going to give it my best shot.

Re-starting on my downward path. This week's goals - limit my screen time and get to bed earlier.

Best Answer

Checking in mid-week:

Limiting screen time - not quite just moving it a littler earlier

Getting to bed earlier - 1 out of 3 days so far

Also decided that I am not having any more soda or french fries for the rest of June. Have to get back to water. Once I start that soda it's very hard to stop.

hi all!

have been AWOL for a few weeks.

Things have been crazy, but then it usually is. I have been having trouble staying focused. I am not giving up, but, i am being less strict. I find myself taking a bit of something here or a bite there. I need to get back to planned eating only.

summer is harder, I do like a drink after work, I sit on the deck, unwind and watch my birds

Traveled last weekend to the baby shower for my first grandbaby, so exciting. I really want to be as close to goal as I can be next month when she is born. I really do not want to fuss about pictures of me. I want to think about her, not about how fat i look in the pictures!

Hope everyone has a great week

Best Answer

Hope everyone is doing well. Finally getting through my shinsplints and I am back walking again, next step restarting my running.

Got nowhere near my mini target I imagine I refuse to weigh my self but still hoping that I can make a good dent in the last 4 weeks.

Was walking with Mom yesterday and she was in a better mood than usual. She mentioned that she'd put her foot down and demanded of herself to get back on track with food. She eats well but she'd begun snacking or allowing herself some items she hadn't before. Over the last few months she'd put on almost 15 pounds and her mood had declined. She'd become solemn and cynical. Yesterday I noticed a difference. It took her three days of the better eating to beat that 'hunger' and she felt so much better.

I am tired, sore, hungry, and stressed (mostly with dealing with four pets). So, I'm going to put more effort into my food and feeling better. I'm going to be mowing the yard today, plant some new shrubs, take the boys for a long walk. Even though I walk, it's not enough to help me lose weight. I need to do something to fix my discomfort, both physical and emotional. I have options, I'm just being lazy or anxious about it. I have a bike I'm scared to use. I have the YMCA so close. This is all about being healthy. I need to get over my hesitations to get to the next level of my progress.

Ok, going to get some work done around here. Will check in more often.

@_Lilac_ did the latest procedure uncover anything helpful?

Best Answer

@Cele21 Not really. There are more tests to do and I have to go for more brain tests in July. I feel like one big specimen at this point. ahaha.

Trying to do better but weather has wreaked havoc with my knee pain and given me massive sinus headaches. Hard to move with both of these at once. Waiting for this week to do better.

Well I am so far behind and I know it's almost time for this weeks weigh in but here are my results from last week

USW - 103kg (227pounds) (1st Jan 2018)

1stCSW - 96.8kg(213pounds) - (14/2/18) First Challenge Starting Weight

LCSW - 92.2kg(203.2pounds) - (1/4/18) Last Challenge Starting Weight

CW - 84.8kg(187.2pounds) - (10/6/18)

GW - 83kg(183pounds)

UGW- 67kg (147pounds)

I did it, I broke my halfway mark. I have now lost over 19.2kg (42.32 pounds) and have 18.8kg (41.45 pounds) to go. Awesomely happy.

It was time for a progress photo or 2.

I did these photos in my exercise shirt for my public Facebook account for people who actually know me in person but I also did these ones in a much tighter singlet, so I can start watching my progress for my second half journey.

I can't believe the difference in the top of my arms and eventhough my thighs are still rather large, I can see that they have decreased in size from my start photo.

Will make sure I update with this weeks result on time.

Really trying to reach my goal this challenge!

@bethanysmum2002 - Wow! A picture is worth a bunch of pounds! You can tell from the singlet pics how much you have lost in your hips as you are lined up at the same brick on the back ground. And in your face, neck, arms, everywhere! Great job so far!

Time to get FLIPPIN' serious! UGH. I got on the scale last night and found I'd gained 12 lbs since I hit my plateau...so the darned plateau is over but I'm putting weight ON. I haven't been eating horribly but I'm not as careful as I need to be, I guess. I've been walking and active but not enough, I guess.

Having said that, it's time to get pissed off (excuse my language but I think it's warranted at this time) and kick my own backside, because I cannot let this continue. I had a very sensible breakfast then took the dogs for a walk.

Did I tell you I got a third dog??? A rescue chihuahua who is the cutest little thing but full of personality and even though he's over a year old, we're working on house training.

Anyway, this passiveness about my weight loss journey has got to get ramped up again to be an aggressive pursuit. I've had enough. I can't slide backward. No way!

So, one walk today - check. I'm going to include mowing the yard and a workout in my livingroom as the rest of my steps for the day. I tried to join the YMCA again to go to their water aerobics classes but they always shut down the pool for two weeks in June and that just began. I'll have to wait. I bought a lot of fresh veggies yesterday so I'm going to increase my intake of those. The stupid calories in vs. calories out doesn't work for me so I'll have to figure out what works best for this stupid body.

Grrrr....Gotta get my gumption back!!!

WOW, almost there

At the start of this challenge I thought I was going to be pushing it to get to my 83kg (183 pound) goal but here I am now only 800g (1.7pounds away)

if if I actually manage to lose that this week I will have lost 20kg (44 pounds) by my eldest daughter’s 16th birthday this Sunday.

It was my plan 2 years ago to be at my goal weight by her 16th but I never did anything about it, just think, if I had, I actually could have done it

Now it is my plan to be at my goal weight by the time she graduates high school, December next year, so that’s another 18 months to lose these remaining 16.9kg (37.3pounds)

I did it! Officially 20kg (44 pounds) gone. 16kg (35 pounds) to go!

Although, since my weigh in on Friday, I think the scales may have gone up as we were having birthday parties and lunches for my daughter's Sweet 16.

I was good at the party, only eating one piece of pizza, a pie, a cupcake and maybe 5 or 6 lollies from the lolly buffet.

But yesterday we went for lunch at a lovely restaurant and I had a burger and chips. The meat pattie was huge! But I removed the top of the bun and then I had another cupcake.

So not a lot of healthy eating but hey, it was a special weekend.

Got this awesome photo of me and my girls taken in her photobooth at her surprise party and I absolutely love it. I have avoided having photos taken with my girls so much that I am trying to make up for it.

I'm new to this group and am so happy to find a weight loss challenge.

I 'officially' weigh myself every Monday; however, I also weigh myself on Fridays.... to keep me motivated for the weekend. Smiley Happy

Didn't make it again but got close. Sticking to better habits because of my knee diagnosis and the (should have started earlier) need to extend the years before needing a replacement.

Anyone up for starting the next challenge?
