My weight loss success story with FitBit!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share with you guys my success story.

Back in 2011-2012ish I was almost 400-410 pounds. I was eating like a pig and I was deeply depressed. I even dropped out of college so that I can stay at home and eat myself to death. I ate anything and everything that came across me.

A friend of mine showed me her fitbit one day and I was instantly hooked on it. I bought one a week later and it was with me for about a year. During that year, I was able to lose almost 200 pound! (I'm currently 235 and it's dropping fast!) Fitbit truly has helped me get on track and ultimately it saved my life!

I went back to school and in December I graduated with high honors! (I actually have a job interview today and I'm writing this at Starbucks that's by the building).

I also got engaged in 2014! We are getting married on May 16th. My plan is to hit my 200 pound goal by that time so I can look awesome in photos :smileyhappy:

Fitbit is an amazing device which really can help you if you put your mind to it. Alongise my fitbit I used Runkeeper and MyNetDiary to log my food. I have it synced with Fitbit so that it transfers all the information between apps. If you have any questions for me I would love to answer and if you are simply looking for a fitbit buddy feel free to add me. My email is AdrianGPhotos@gmail.com

I'm always looking for weekend competition when it comes to steps :smileyhappy:

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you too will one day have a success story like mine!
Good luck!

Adrian.

Wow, your story is inspiring, thank you so much for sharing!  I would love to know how you kept yourself motivated.  I have about 110 lbs to lose but have decided to just focus on the first 60 for right now so I don't feel so overwhelmed.  I could use some friends to help me on my journey as I am new here so feel free to add me.

Hope you got the job!

Only compare your progress with yourself, one may loose weight faster than someone else due genetics, lifestyle (more or less exercising).. food choices can have influence to.

Everyone is unique and awesome, be happy with what you and your amazing body achieve.

Thank you everyone, losing weight isn't rocket science. It just takes motivation and determination. My motivations were:
1. The fact that I knew I would die young from heart disease or who knows what else.
2. My friends were getting into relationships and getting married left and right. I was basically the only single one. I didn't want that to be my thing.

It's all about mental thinking. I was able to change the way I ate overnight. People around me could be eating pizza, burgers, ice cream and I wouldn't even think of touching it. I would be eating my salad. If I wanted to eat a burger I made myself a morning star burger or a boca burger (both are delicious) and I would place it between 2 portobello caps to substitute a bun.
When I REALLY wanted a real burger I would think to myself "is this burger really worth dying for?" And that would keep me away from it.
Believe it or not but when I got on my final diet plan I didn't cheat once! I know and understand that it's perfectly ok to cheat sometimes but I simply didn't do it because I was afraid I would fall off the wagon.

If you guys have any other questions or need help with anything please ask away and I'll get back to you!
Adrian.
