Hey All!
I am somewhat new to FitBit (been using for a couple weeks) and would really like to get some friends to help me on my weight loss journey and hopefully I can help you as well!
I've struggled with my weight all my life and have yo-yo'd for what seems like an eternity. Last year I lost 40 pounds and felt great and was really proud of myself, then i lost all motivation (depression and anxiety will do that to you) and put 20 back on. Since then I have lost roughly 7 pounds since trying to eat healthier and move more, but I can feel the depression creeping back in.
What I really need is some friends to help push me, help me stay motivated and compete with. I am a competeitve person by nature and love to have someone to compete with (friendly of course!) Hopefully I can provide you that same motivation and competetiveness and together we can kick some ass!
I am a 31 year old male from Canada and would love to end this year a lot closer to my goal weight to help me be healthier and happier.
I look forward to motivating and competing against you!!

Firstly, congrats on the weight loss! Gaining some back is rough (been there too many times), but just keep pushing through!
I've recently lost -and kept off this time- 25 lbs and have about 50 more to go to get back to where I'd be comfortable. I've also struggled with depression and anxiety and it makes it so tough to keep going with the good habits I'm trying to adapt to.
I'm sending you a friend request, I'd love to help motivate eachother!

Hello there! Just sent you a friend request!
I'm also Canadian. Woot, Canada, woot.
I also deal with depression, although admittedly I take anti-depressants for that. Have you seen a psychiatrist about going on some meds? It's helped me a lot.

I have struggled myself with depression over the last 20 years. Not a fun or productive time at all. Hopefully you have found some tools to help you cope like therapy, medication, and exercise
I am willing to push you if you push me right back! Seriously, you are doing a great thing for yourself. Just keep being active as much as you can and know you are not alone.
I also am pretty competitive so I will friend you (if I can figure it out - I'm a newbie) and we can kick each other's butts.
Ready...Set....GO!

Hello Muffled Moose! I have to admit my anxiety kicks in most at the gym. My husband would be shocked when I step on the treadmill at the gym, walking at 3.5, and my heartrate would read at 135-145 when I first step on! I can feel my heart beating faster just at the thought! I have no idea why it bothered me so much! I have also had to deal with depression, but I have to say, since I started my daily workouts, the only time I can feel it creeping back in is when I cheat and don't work out!
I am also a friendly competitor; I strive to find someone to help push me! we can take this journey together! You've got lots of people from all over the world here and everyone has been wonderful since I started. So....what's the challenge? Longest hike? Most active minutes burned in a day? You pick it...I'm in!
