Needing guidance or overview of plan

Here is a little history (very breif ) I have already lost close to 40 pounds but this took me around 3 years to accomplish total. I am now on my last stubborn 10 to 15 pounds. I am going on a vacation in April, so I have plenty of time for this amount.

My plan: For the past 2.5 weeks I have had calorie deficit of 500 minimum. Most days were more than 500, my intake is no lower than 1200 calories a day and ranges to 1600 at the highest, normal day is in the 1350 range. I will stay with this until feb first then plan to go to a 750 deficit. I burn 2000 calories or a little more daily ( I go to the gym 6 days a week some times 7 ) Is this practical, in terms of what i am doing for my deficit.

I know you may think i have been doing this for only two weeks, no i have been tracking everything I put in my mouth for 2 weeks, I have been a healthy eater for a long time I just never made sure i ate a specific calorie amount. in 2.5 weeks I have lost 2.3 pounds yes I realize its still a loss I just dont want to get to the end of 12 weeks and not have any wiggle room. I want this weight off before I go on vacation. Its the last 10 to 15 I have been working on for a while now and I am ready to hit my ultimate goal!!

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Besides calories, try balancing what you're eating - see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zone_diet - don't go crazy, but when I did this, it really worked. Balance the carbs, protein and fats.

Right now those 3 things are pretty equal or protein is higher ideally. I consistantly eat chicken, tilapia, canned tuna, steamed or cooked veggies, greek yogurt, protein powder drinks...ect. Upped my water minimized fruits its pretty blah im even eating boiled eggs for breakfast and sometimes snacks. I am just afraid if im not losing faster now then i wont lose enough before then!
