Hi everyone!!!
Come join our challenge group, as we start Round 3 today of a 12 week challenge to lose weight.
All you have to do is join our activity group, and reply to the topic Round 3 Pledge week with your pledge of how much weight you want to lose in the next 12 weeks.

After you make your pledge, come back to the Activity Group each Tuesday and update your information so we can encourage everyone to stick with it and lose weight. Each week a new topic will be setup. Week 1 - Round 3 will be setup next Tuesday. Just reply to the topic, and let us know how you are doing.
I lost 26.2 lbs during the first round, and 14 lbs in the second round of the challenge. That's over 40 lbs in the first two rounds! I hope to lose 12 lbs during round 3.
Keep in mind that losing weight is HARD. Many of you will join this challenge. Few will finish it. I'm guessing they get discouraged at their weight loss. Or life just interupts them. But the bottom line, if you join the challenge, if you stick with it, and if you work hard, you will lose weight. You just have to commit yourself to do it. I have, and I've lost 40.2 lbs in the last 24 weeks.
What can you do in the next 12 weeks? Come join us and find out!

Best of luck on your continued weight loss, @JohnRi! Fortunately, I'm not trying to lose any more weight right now, just trying to improve my fitness level.

While I know I need to lose more weight Larry, it's getting harder. I knew it would. I'm exercising more and more. Which is good. I started working on flexibility and strength training 9 weeks ago. I will touch my toes again, without bending my knees!
22 lbs to my first weight loss goal of 183. 13 more after that is my planned secod goal, and my final weight loss goal.
BUT I'm not sure I'll get to either one. My fat % is 24.5 now. My lean mass is 155 lbs. So I have 51 lbs fat left. If you knew anything about fat % 19 % is "normal". That would be 191 lbs for me. For me to get to 183, that would be a fat % around 15%. And to get to 170, I'd be down to 9%.
This is assuming I maintain my existing lean mass, and muscle mass. But I am adding muscle mass. I know this based on my weight training. For me to get to 170, and not loss muscle, I'm going to end up looking super lean, and cut. Which frankly, is impossible at 49, and maybe not so healthy either.
So I don't know if I will get to either goal. But I sure am going to find out!

From what I have seen so far of your journey, @JohnRi, I am sure you will not only make the first goal, but the 2nd goal as well! You've done a fantastic job with your slow & steady plan. And, we're all cheering you on!
