Welcome to the New Year Everyone! This will start January 1, 2016 officially 🙂
If you have seen the posts before this is a challenge that everyone is invited to join to set your own personal weight loss goal for the next 6 weeks. This is all about having a great support system and most importantly feeling great and happy and healthy about yourself. Don't worry if you have bad weeks because we all go through it.
To join the challenge all you need to do is post your weight stats & check in as often as you'd like with an update or just to share a story from your week. This group has some huge inspiration in it and people that give wonderful advice.
Looking forward to catching up with all our friends from the other challenges and anyone who is new!

I am new to fitbit and these sort of challenges but this seems like a good motivator! My goal is to lose around 2 lbs a week! Also feel free to add me as a friend both here and on MFP!

I'm not totally new but still not used to all this. I have heart failure, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, amongst other things. They threw the medical book at me. But it can be very challenging with shortness of breath and for now the worst is my leg and knee. Don't know what is going on with them but they hurt like there's no tomorrow. I promised my cardiologist that I would surprise him with some weightloss. He said even if it's only 5 lbs. I'm hoping for more. I'm expecting 3 more grandkids this year. One at end of Feb. if she lasts that long and twins in March/April. So here goes.

Pretty new to discussions this is only my second post. And I have been wanting to be in a challenge. Just been trying to get badges (it's kinda addicting) and eat my dietitian's advice on food. Hopefully I can get to the size I want in six weeks. I have been going to the gym off and on because it's been a little intimidating to see all these smaller girls and the guys taking up the weight machines. Does anyone else experience this?

This is my third consecutive challenge and the group has been very helpful to me. Lost about 15 pounds. Making my goal a little aggressive for six weeks for me, but would love to get into the 140s.

Now that Christmas & New Years celebrations are done, I'm looking forward to getting back to my regular routine and eating habits. One thing I'm learning doing these challenges and reading everybody's posts is that dealing with the occasional uptick in weight is part of the process -- especially during the holidays -- but keeping up with walking, drinking water, logging my food, reporting my stats and reading how other people are doing makes it easier to re-enter weight loss mode.
I can't tell you guys how much I wanted to just vege out on the whole process over the holidays and just drop out. Glad I stuck it out instead.

Day 1 done and my first 'perfect' 5-green-circles day. Lots of walking but not overwhelming. Nice feeling hitting all the targets! 🙂

I did the same thing for the same reason -- bought my own elliptical machine after paying for monthly gym memberships I never used. So glad I did. I'm commiting to using it to supplement my walking during the winter.
