Welcome to the New Year Everyone! This will start January 1, 2016 officially 🙂
If you have seen the posts before this is a challenge that everyone is invited to join to set your own personal weight loss goal for the next 6 weeks. This is all about having a great support system and most importantly feeling great and happy and healthy about yourself. Don't worry if you have bad weeks because we all go through it.
To join the challenge all you need to do is post your weight stats & check in as often as you'd like with an update or just to share a story from your week. This group has some huge inspiration in it and people that give wonderful advice.
Looking forward to catching up with all our friends from the other challenges and anyone who is new!
Thanks @saraj91 for starting up the last challenge!

I've got 10 years on you and I lost 20 lbs and after gaining a few back I'm 2.1 from the -20 spot. I think that entering all our food in the log, really makes a difference since it is easy to eat too many carbs and sugars. When I get hungry at night I try to steam up veggies, even frozen veggies, sprinkle on some herbs, pepper and a little parmesan and fill up. Warm, tasty, low calorie and carbs. Sometimes I add lentils or black beans.
You can and will get to your goal weight if you stick with it. It is definately a life style change.
So pay your age no mind and work on getting stronger and more fit. That puts a spring in your steps.
We got this,
Barbara G

Yipee awood,
So close to healthy BMI and I'm very proud of you. Heathy is the best from this grandmom's point of you. So many diseases that we can avoid with healthy food and movement and strong muscles. Yeah!
Stay warm and happy,
Barbara G

DJC hello
Great observation about that negative," I don't care" thought. When we are struggling we need to hug ourselves, a friend, a stuff Teddy Bear and care more. Stick up for yourself and care care care.
We are doing this healthy changing together,
Barbara G

@Joy123 I understand the feeling. I haven't been losing anything and I see others losing several pounds and it makes me wonder why I'm not. The upside is that it makes me think about what the reasons might be and that helps me pinpoint areas that I may need to work on. I thought for sure that I would gain this week since I didn't get to the gym much, but I was happily surprised today to see I'd actually lost a 1/2 pound, maybe more since I didn't weigh in before I ate and drank. I do know that participating in challenges every week has made me strive to get more steps in whether I'm at the gym or not. Maybe that is what is making the difference. I'll be thrilled if it keeps up! I hope things turn around for you, too.

Sundays are my weigh in days so here's my update. I usually weigh before I eat or drink anything but I forgot so maybe my results will be even better next week! I thought for sure that I was going to gain a few because I only got to the gym one day. So I was pleasantly surprised when I didn't gain anything and actually lost 1/2 a pound. Yay!!

Had a rough weekend. Felt crappy, and then volleyball tournament yesterday, so ate like a 12 year old boy. Time to get back on track!

Great!
Beautiful weekend but only worked out on Saturday. Started with a trainer and he kicked my booty. I'm sore.
I'm motivated to move forward and work hard as I see and even more important, FEEL the results.
Going to start mountain bike riding with my husband this week. We got him a mountain bike over the weekend and he's excited too. This will be something we can do together and with some of our more active friends/family.
Looking forward to that.
