New to FitBit - Over 100+ lbs. to lose...

ANSWERED

Hi, I'm new to FitBit!  Just joined today and am excited to have the FitBit so that I can see my progress in numbers.  I'm a data girl....the more the better for me. Smiley Happy

I was wondering if there is anyone that would like a "buddy" on their weight loss journey.  I have the support of my loving family and would also like to find some cyber FitBit friends to share with (and help keep me accountable!)  I have over 100 lbs to lose and will be taking it one day at a time.

Hi, I am a 45 yr old Mum of 2 teenage boys from UK. I've had my Fitbit Charge for a couple of weeks so still getting a feel for everything but loving it. I've lost 20lbs so far and have about 120lbs to go. So I too will be taking it a day at a time. Would love to share the journey with someone....Good Luck

Make sure to log your food to really see what you're eating. I use Myfitnesspal.com for that because I can put in my own recipes + it will fill in all the nutrition info...better than Fitbit then I just put the numbers in the Fitbit journal. Find a partner to exercise with...accountability AND motivation!! I recently joined KaiaF.I.T. With my daughter. I'm working my way up to the lowest level, but I'm moving and all exercises are modified for my age and ability...which is 72! We all need extra help!

Hi eveyone, i'm new to the site but i have been using my fitbit since Chrismas. I have lost 10 pounds then I gained a few back and lost it again.  I'm needing to lose 160 pounds to be at a normal safe weight. I'm looking for buddies to help me and support me in this journey. I have the support of my family and they help but dont understand what i'm going through, i'm so depress and upset all the time, becuase i did this to myself over the last 20 years and i know it's going to take time getting back off..

I will welcome any invites and lets get this journey started together...

That's awesome. You are in the right place. I will be there to support you. You can do it. Just be patient and don't overdo it. Just follow the less calories in and more calories burned so that you will lose the weight, but don't starve. I work with a doctor and nutritionist. They are really helping me as well. No soda!!! Lots of water. Put lemon and cucumber in the water or strawberries or other fruit. I am happy for you to make this decision.

Had my Fitbit for a month and have lost 14 pounds...with 121 to go! I need to work on exercising, I'm doing all right with the food tracking, though I go over every so often. I just hate to exercise - always have. Anyone have any tips to motivate me to get out there and walk?

I just found this forum, and im excited. I lost ~70lbs in 2012, then gained them back in 2014 due to hip problems and a total hip replacement in December 2014 ont he day of my 27th birthday. Best birthday present ever!! I have lost 12lbs in the last month and plan on continuing!! I would love to have some support/competition. I used to be a runner, and the pounds would melt off. It has been harder to melt the lbs wihtout running (prohibited after hip replacement), but I'm determined! I will be going back to read people's posts and add friends, right now I gotta run--bro has a soccer tournamnet 🙂 but add me if you want a competitive and supportive weight loss buddy! 🙂
