Hi, I'm new to FitBit! Just joined today and am excited to have the FitBit so that I can see my progress in numbers. I'm a data girl....the more the better for me.
I was wondering if there is anyone that would like a "buddy" on their weight loss journey. I have the support of my loving family and would also like to find some cyber FitBit friends to share with (and help keep me accountable!) I have over 100 lbs to lose and will be taking it one day at a time.

Hi Everyone,
I have 95 pounds to loose and would really like to have some fitbit friends with similar goals. Please add me as a friend if you are looking for a buddy.
Thanks 🙂

good morning everyone!
I am in the same boat! Started out with 100+ to lose. Did fairly well for the first few months this year and now I am stalling... have gone up and down and around 247 lbs since May 20th. UGH.
I know it's because of TTOM and also because I couldnt contain myself these last few days with sweets. I think yesterday I had 1500 cal worth of pastries for lunch.... UGH.
I have to get back on track! So please - any support is welcome.
I was wondering what your favourite lunches and dinners around 500-600 cal are.
I think I am getting a bit sick of mine:
- Salad with chickpeas, veggies and balsamic dressing for lunch (today I have 100g of salmon with that)
- Wrap with 2 oz lemon-pepper-tuna, lettuce, 2 tbsp hummus, a hand full of grilled veggies

Hi, everyone, almost 5 years ago I lost 75# at age 63 and have been keeping it off (first time ever!). I worked with a Health Coach. So I am paying it forward by helping others learn all the habits to reach and maintain their weight long-term. I love sharing what worked for me. I got my FitBit in January and love it! It helps keep me accountable as I have been trying to rebuild muscle and move my body after the weight loss. I lost the weight quickly and safely without exercise, but knew I needed to incorporate this very important habit. So I now work out with a CrossFit trainer and am getting stronger. Doing lots of things I could never have done safely with 75# on me.

I am also brand new to FitBit and have 100+ lbs to loose. How do we become friends with other people?

Hi Sally!
Im wondering if you could clarify something for me. I have 30lbs to loose and have fitbit charge. I want to know when do I manually input an activity like using the tradmill or playing soccer? If I do, I can see during those times how much was fat burn, etc.. but will that overstate my calories lost??
If I increase my activity with the fitbit charge HR automatically read my calories burned?
please let me know!

I'm new at this friending thing too. But I think you just click on their picture or name and it brings up the friend request which you can send to them. GrammyPam

I have 50 more pounds to lose - after already losing 100. These 50 are really tough. I would love to be your friend! We could encourage and support each other.

I believe it automatically tracks calories burned, because it monitors your heart rate. The instructions said to push the FitBit up your arm farther so it is a tight fit and can monitor the heart rate better. I push mine up and use a sweat band between it and my hand to hold it in place. i'm not sure, but think that if you log the calories burned for an activity you do, it might count it twice. You may need to experiment. Or go on the forum and ask unde the help section. I log things like swimming, because I can't wear it in the water.
