@meowmeowmeow first of all Welcome to the Fitbit Community!  If you want to find friends you can search the forum for your specific tracker and look through posts.  You can click the user's name to the left and then go to their profile and request to add them as a friend.  You can also go to the Fitbit Groups page and search for groups based on interests (specific exercise, similar weightloss goal, etc.) or location (local group of Fitbitters, etc.).

And of course:

way to go. It may seem like a lot of weight, but set small goals, 5 pounds, 5%, 10,000 steps a day. . . . and you will succeed.

thinking of you.

Congratulations to all of those trying to lose weight. There are a million supplements and "miracle drugs" out there, but only one surefire way to lose the weight. Change eating habits and excercise ! I just got my Charge HR two days ago so still strying to figure out some of the settings and displays. I'll give them a couple more days to catch up with the system, then I'm going to take a class on this thing !!  LOL !!  Again, congrats to all battling that weight issue. I lost 28 lbs in 10 weeks last year, and a chocoholic like no ones business ! I did realize once I layed off of it for awhile, the cravings weren't there and I replaced it with fruit and veggies for snacks. (nothing beats chocolate, but you absolutely won't lose weight with chocolate...not to mention all the added sugar, cholesterol, saturated fat, etc....)  Take it one day at a time, and take your lunches to work so you don't get forced to make bad decisions. Good luck to all of you !!!

Congrats on making the decision to change your life!  I started out in July of last year needing to lose 140 pounds.  I am halfway to my goal and feel better than I ever have!  Wishing you all the best on your journey!

Set small goals for yourself and find non food rewards for reaching each goal.  You can do this.

Welcome! I also am fairly new to FB and need to lose 100+ pounds. I sit at a desk all day and finding time to walk is a challenge. I know I need to make myself do it, but that seems to be the hard part! Let's do this together!

Hi everyone! Same here!! My fitbit has been a pretty good motivator since January. I have lost 35lbs but now I am stalling... up and down and around 247 lbs. So I have at least another 77 lbs to lose in order to get to a healthy BMI.

I thought I'd ask you what your favourite lunches and diners are. In the end, weight is lost in the kitchen, the way we eat... exercise helps of course, but really is only 20%-30% of the success.

I am kinda getting sick of my usuals:

- lettuce with chickpeas, cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, shredded carrots and balsamic dressing (today I am spicing things up with 100 g of cooked salmon)

- Wrap with 2 tbsp hummus, lettuce, handful of grilled veggies and 2 oz mini can of lemon-pepper tuna

I love yoga, pilates, knitting, my fitbit and walking my dog! +++ Started with 100 lbs to lose - 60% there - reclaiming my life and health!
