New to fitbit!

Hey everyone! I just got my FitBit today! I got a fitbit flex, I was trying to get a One, but couldn't find one in my country (Colombia). So I'm now going to introduce myself!

My name is Andrea, I'm 26 and I got the FitBit because I'm trying to become more active as a part of trying to lose the baby weight I put on (more than 50 pounds) I'm currently 172 but started at 184 and want to get down to my original 132 (some day hopefully!!) Any tips, encouragement or anything is appreciated! XO

Congratulations on everything, being a new mom and joining the Fitbit family. First thing I am going to suggest is don't rush the weight loss specially if you are nursing, it took nine months to gain the weight and it will take that long to take it off. Keep a log of what you eat, record every meal and see how many calories you are eating during the day. Try to stay away from sweets and junk food, also don't finish off what baby doesn't eat. Check with your doctor about how many calories you should consume each day, you will be active having a new baby around the house so adjust your workouts accordingly. Get a good nights sleep, it's hard to workout if you are tired, when baby is resting, try to rest yourself. If the weather is good take the baby for a walk, do exercise that you can do with your baby. I am a fairly new grandma and I just went through this with my daughter. You never realize how good a workout with a baby is, they have you crawling and sitting on the floor, you pick them up, you put them down, anything turns into a workout when you have a little one. Again, congratulations
