Night Eating

ANSWERED

When I am tired or stressed, I tend to eat very late at night.  It was soft cheese last night when I briefly woke up.  When I saw the evidence (empty cheese wrapper), I thought "How could I not have remembered without this **ahem** wrapper?"  This pattern of behavior really frustrates me--it sabotages all the work that I do when I am fully conscious.

I guess it doesn't really sabotage ALL the work that I do to get my weight back down to a more manageable level.  Weight gain was the only negative of my recent medical checkup.  This pattern is very self-defeating, but it reappears constantly.  Fooey!

That sounds very challenging and frustrating to deal with. I have no experience myself, but I remember watching a "food hospital" episode with someone in it who suffered from similar symptoms as you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzZIa8rg4fQ. His story starts 25 minutes into the video. I am not sure if you should simply copy the advice given there, but it does show what an impact food can have. You might want to bring it up with a dietitian.
