Hello everyone! I was hoping to get some advice 🙂 I recently dropped down to my goal weight of 126. I was using OMAD, and lost about 5 pounds in two weeks. However, I’m still doing OMAD, very strictly, but I’ve gained all 5 pounds back. This is very upsetting but I’m not ready to give up! Please help me.

Five pounds in two weeks, which is about 3 or 4% of your bodyweight, was probably mostly water, especially if you were also avoiding carbs. And, of course, women naturally retain more fluid some times of the month than others. All this boils down to, whatever happens in two weeks (up or down) is not really 'real.'
Ultimately weight loss still comes down to eating less than you burn. There is nothing especially effective about one meal a day for losing weight other than it takes away a lot opportunities for snacking (thereby lowering total calorie consumption). You can probably achieve the same goal with less pain if you had three or four meals a day (but NO snacking). Pay attention to nutrition, and shoot for a pound a week over the next month or two. Monitor your progress by weighing yourself daily, but pay more attention to the weekly average to see if you are on the right track. Weekly waist measurement is another good metric to check for true loss.
Take your time. It will come.

Okay. One meal a day isn't sustainable. Obviously it worked in the short term, but your body needs regular complete nutrition to function. Drink plenty of water - plain or flavored with fruit, etc. not tea, soda, or juice.
If you only needed/wanted to lose 5 pounds, then I'm going to go out on a limb and say that OMAD probably isn't the best method to lose it and keep it off. Your body is already fit and healthy. 5 pounds would fall within basic seasonal (menstrual cycle even) variations for most people. Having lost a lot of weight, I allow myself a 5 pound window to maintain. It keeps me from losing my mind with normal day to day scale changes. Many women gain weight just before their period. Keep eating healthy: Plenty of lean protein and fresh foods (veggies, fruit, etc).

Hello everyone. So, I have been doing one meal a day and eating under 800 calories every day. Additionally, I have been running 5 miles, 3-4 times a week. I got down to my goal weight (125 lbs) and was absolutely ecstatic. However, I haven't changed my eating habits, but in just 5 days, I put on 10 pounds. I don't understand. I've been measuring my food, only eating one meal a day, and working like crazy. I feel defeated and must admit I had a bit of a breakdown. Please, please any advice would be amazing.

Hi @Gsowa how old are you? You have to take into consideration your age and gender. Young girls do put on a bit of water weight during their monthly cycles. You don't want to hurt yourself either. Yesterday you said you gained five pounds and today you're saying you gained ten pounds. Have you considered not watching the scales so much? We all have good days and bad days. There's a lot going on right now, so you might just be feeling the stress from the changes made due to the virus that's out there. Be good to yourself and as @Baltoscott said, the weight loss will come.
