On cardio fitness App screen how weight affects score

How do you read the screen which shows you how weight affects your cardio fitness score? You access this screen in the app by selecting HEART (rate), slide the heart rate graph to the right to display your cardio fitness score, maximize the screen ( touch opposing arrows in upper right corner) and finally slide the description on the bottom of the screen to the left until you see a screen like the screen below.

What is this screen telling me? Do I need to lose weight or gain weight to increase my cardio fitness score?

I'm using a Versa 2 on an iPhone 13 mini with the most current SW versions.

Interesting.  My take would be this:
Consider it 2 separate parts.
First. "Your cardio fitness score is related to weight".  I expect that "cardio fitness score" as calculated by Fitbit will always increase with weight loss.  I suppose it is possible it pays attention to body fat % but I doubt it as not everyone records that.  That would be easy to test by just putting fake numbers and see if that affect your score.  But, even at best, Fitbit's "cardio fitness score" can only be a guesstimate.

2nd part.  The rest of the explanation talks about "fitness level" which I take as your true fitness regardless of what Fitbit's score might say.

So to answer your question, I would say would you probably would increase your fitbit cardio fitness score by losing weight, but that wouldn't necessarily mean you were increasing your true fitness.

If you couldn't tell, I don't put too much stock in "cardio fitness score", especially when it has not been based on some runs.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks for your input. I think that I misunderstood what information the
FitBit app screen was attempting to convey due to what I just noticed
appears to be a software bug in the app.

The preceding screen in the app entitled *Cardio Fitness - Exercise Can
Make an Impact* showed what change in your cardio score could result from
increased exercise. The screen which I included a screen capture of in this
post when the phone is in portrait display mode is entitled *Cardio Fitness
- How Weight Affects Your Score. *I concluded that this screen would show
what my Cardio Fitness score was now and what it would be with a weight
change. However, when looking at the screen this AM I noticed that if you
turn your phone to display the screen in landscape mode when the screen is
maximized to full screen that the title changes to *Cardio Fitness - Cardio
Fitness Levels for Men 60+* and that when you rotate your phone back to
portrait mode that the screen title stays on the revised title. In other
words, the intent, design & programing of this screen does not show the
impact of weight on your score but shows how your cardio fitness score
compares to other users in the same sex & age group.

@JMark235  You need to set up a weight loss goal in order to see your potential for improvement.  My current weight goal shows a small potential increase.  I played around with my weight goal.  An additional five pound weight loss increased it a little more.  I put in a very unhealthy weight loss goal, one that would give me a BMI of about 16.  That page disappeared from my app.
