A friend of mine lost a lot of weight by eating the same thing every day. She said she got really tired of eating broiled chicken, rice, and broccoli every day but it helped her see food as fuel and nothing more.
I think I'm going to try this. I'm desperate to find ways to reduce temptation. I seem to find any consumable tidbit in the house when I'm hungry, especially in the evenings, and exercise seems to only increase my appetite.

@Chardy19 Chardy, I have read over and over again that the more food variety around you the more you eat. So I think your friend is right. I hope she takes vitamins though. I also read that most people eat about 10 different things over and over. Favorite foods, because like the favorite clothes you might wear a lot people know some things "fit". They know what those foods taste like and know that they like that. They find those things easy to fix or buy or get someone to buy & fix for them. Whatever. One very good diet ploy is to make a mental list or written, of 10 things you eat a lot and try to develop a new list of 10 favorites that have fewer calories. Try for things you like every bit as much as your current 10. Because when your diet determination and enthusiasm runs out you will go back to the old favorites and regain lost weight. Your evening eating problem WAS mine too, maybe everyones, but I really got that under control recently by trying the intermittent fasting diet 8 - 16. I learned I don't need to munch along all day and until bedtime. It has really helped me too. .........1 new favorite might be plain fat free Greek Yogurt and frozen blueberries. It is less expensive sandlots fewer calories than even the high protein 300 calories a pint "ice cream" I'm learning some good vegetables too.
