I decided to go into a weight loss journey and starting may 1st.
There have been ups and downs, but I have kept my chin up. So far I've lost 30 pounds and I am rooting for more, I have been using MyFitnessPal (helenarriaza).

Journey from Hell meet another seeking life of quality. Right now I am not even able to walk. I read your story and am so glad you shared. Congratulations for all you have done! Hard work deserves a pat on the back. I bet simply typing it made you smile from ear to ear.
My journey from hell has moments of bright glorious light and then it fades. But I will never give up. Now that I have my flex it saves me a lot of documentation manually and allows me time to stop and say hello to others like you; hello. 🙂
Life here on the boards is to keep people moving and is mostly filled with positive energy; something hard to find on the support group arenas. I fight daily for quality of life. Was doing great. Up to 3k steps a day for a week and had lost 10 lbs. I was working on the computer and stood up last Monday and I am not able to walk without a cane and continued pain. It will pass and I will rebuild... Never give up!

Kudos, JfH!!
Great motivating chain of rewards, there.
Starting at 300+ lbs, no reward, always tired, couch potato, snacking all the time...
I found that every 15 or 20 lbs (at first) I could go "shopping" in my closet and wear my skinnier clothes.
At 250 lbs, I was able to walk miles a day without stopping
At 220, I went out and get new pants, shorts, and shirts
At 200, I could actually sit next to my wife in the movie theater or at the ball game and could sit in airplane seats without extender seatbelts.
At 190, I had to go out again and get new clothes
At 180 or so, no more erectile dysfunction...great reward for my ego and my marriage
At 176, I can go up and down flights of stairs quickly and without gettting winded. Also running vs. walking
My target goal is 170 with stretch goal of 160. Maybe then, I'll indulge with more the same types of rewards you talk about.
Once again, a fantastic job on your weight loss and wellness compaign. My hat's off to you.
Lew
So, I tend to enjoy the simpler joys and rewards having a healthier body brings supplemented with the clothes.

I do this too! I have about 35 lbs to lose (I'm short, so 120 is right in the middle of my BMI range). Here are my rewards:
Under 150:
Workout leggings ACHIEVED
Under 145:
Workout leggings
Under 140:
Workout top (and bonus prize: no longer have an overweight BMI!)
Under 135:
New gym bag
Under 130:
New computer (I really need one but trying to hold off till I reach this goal)
Under 125:
New work bag
At 120:
Hot bod! - so I haven't decided what my reward will be for reaching my goal, I'm thinking maybe a bikini and a vacation if finances allow 🙂
I am also trying not to make clothes as prizes, since I have a closetful of clothes that will fit once I lose the weight.

This seems like a wonderful system! I wish you the best of luck with continued success!
Now I just need to figure out things I want that I can afford to use as a motivation system... 🙂
