Hey y'all! I'm brand new to fitbit and I just started the South Beach Diet. I want to lose 20 lbs. I don't have any friends who have fitbits, so I would love to add anyone who might be interested in being fitness buddies while we get closer to achieving our goals!

Hey Misty -
I've been using my fitbit for a couple of months now - still not sure I'm maximizing it's usage!! I'm also a SB dieter. Would love to team up. 28 lbs down in 2014 - looking to lose another 20!
You can reach me here, or at larcher@mac.com!
Best wishes for success this year!

Hi. I have been using my fit bit since 2011 (at least wearing it for a couple of years now). I was on SBD and did very well with it until my family suffered a terrible tragedy back Nov. 2011. I am getting back to living and starting to get back on track. I am starting back on the SBD on 1/12 and have a goal (as of tomorrow) to walk 4,000 steps per day for a week and then add 1,000 steps a day for each week following until I get to 10,000 steps per day.
This week my goal is limit coffee to only 1 per day - NO soda - and get in the habbit of drinking more water.
I have a long way to go to get back to my goal - about 95 pounds.
Happy New Health Everyone!
Lisa

FWIW, there are two Fitbit groups dedicated to the South Beach Diet:
https://www.fitbit.com/group/22492P
https://www.fitbit.com/group/22MVHK
They only have two and one members, respectively. Maybe you should team up and try to recruit more members to the consolidated group.
