I've always read that standing burns more calories than sitting but yet my fitbit activity level shows no difference between an hour standing and an hour sitting. Input please.

Your fitbit can't tell whether you are sitting or standing -- only that you are not moving. If you do spend a lot of time standing, there are many options in the Log Activities list where you can log standing and it will modify the calories burned.

Stand regardless if you have the choice. Sitting is really bad for your back among other things.
