Sweating for the Wedding!

Hi there!

I'm newly engaged and am looking for some partners here to help me on my sweating for the wedding mission!

I've recently moved to a new city with the fiance and just started a new job - talk about some stress, right?  We've both packed on a little extra from that. It's much easier to eat out instead of cooking at home, which has also helped us with our recent weight gain.

I'd love to lose about 50 lbs before the spring 2016 wedding, but for right now I'm settling for MOVING every day and making better and healthier choices...  the first (and worst) of which is giving up the soda addiction I got from said fiance.

Would love to get involved in any challenges, and look forward to meeting some accountability partners here!

That's a great place to start.  Just move, as often as you can.  Start off small, then begin to build. It's nice to have a goal or something to look forward to..........like a beautiful wedding.  Stay connected!

Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Congrats on your engagement! And just getting moving is an awesome start 🙂 If you start slow and keep adding a little bit to your pace and your workout/nutrition routine it'll be a breeze to meet your goals!

Congrats! I'm also using fitbit to get me motivated to lose some lbs before my wedding! I'm getting married in December 2015 and would love to drop about 15 pounds by then. My main nemesis is snacking at night. There's nothing I love more than curling up on the couch after a long day and eating some snack while my fiancee and I watch Netflix. I do a pretty good job of staying active during the day but these extra calories at night kill me. Hoping to make some healthier choices and look a little more fit by the big day!

I'm right there with you!  Engaged and getting married in the spring of next year!

I'm focusing on less carbs and tracking my food with the fitbit dashboard!  The tracking has been a huge lifesaver.  It's great to be able to see my calories in vs calories out and see if I'm on track!

Let's get it started!  I'll work along with ya!  Best day of our lives?  We better look the best we ever have!

Me too! Wedding is August of 2016, I have my dress already and it's pretty snug in the hips, I want to have to alter that thing at LEAST a size down. I've lost 20 lbs since Sept 2014, took the summer off of calorie counting but just this week I've got back on track with my fitbit and mfp. My downfall is snacking and baked goods for sure!
