Hi,
I'm an international teacher and when we have time off in the summer, my husband and I travel to both Scotland and Canada to visit family. Because of the religious holidays of the region we have an extended summer this year, I'm off for 3 months, so we will be away from our house and routine for a long time.
Does anyone have any good tips for maintaining weight, or dare I say it, even losing weight over the summer break? My main problem is food. We live in the Middle East, and some of our favourite food is hard to come by here, so when we go home we indulge (mine is proper chips from the chipy in Scotland!). The other huge issue is family/parents trying to feed us when we visit, "oh, go on have some, you're on your holidays!"
My weight gain is often as high as 10kg, so any top tips for reducing weight gain when traveling would be appreciated!
Lisa
P.S I love my new Blaze 🙂

Enjoy your summer. Walk everyday for 2 hrs or get 20k steps 5-6 days each week.

You have to keep moving to burn and you should respectful explain to your family that they are being less than helpful in your quest for good health. You can indulge of course, but it doesn't have to be everyday...
