Hi All!
This is the Thanksgiving to New Years Eve Challenge... Welcome !!
We'll begin on Thanksgiving, November 26th and finish on New Years Eve, December 31st. This gives us 5 weeks for this challenge so set your goals accordingly & don't worry if you don't hit them, it's not all about the numbers, it's about how you feel about your own health & being part of a fun, supportive group.
To join the challenge all you need to do is post your weight stats & check in as often as you like with an update or just to share a story from your week. This group has proven to be so supportive the last 2 challenges I've been a part of so I hope you find it just as great to be a part of as well.
So, enjoy being part of the group & have fun working towards your goals!
A little rundown of terminology for anyone who is new (thanks @awood08 for this list from the last challenge).
USW- Ultimate Starting Weight
CSW- Current Starting Weight
GW- Goal Weight
UGW- Ultimate Goal Weight

I'm in deny :-). I'm sure I didn't lose any weight and even more sure I gained weight, but I don't want to be on the scale right now :-D.
Normally I work out 4 times a week and get my 10 000 step goal every day, but during the 2 week holiday I didn't manage to obtain 10 000 steps any day. I did go for my bodypump work out which is once a week, but this is because I know if I miss one I will be in lots of pain the next time :-D, and I went for a run on christmas eve. But that's it, covered with lots of gin-tonics, wine, chocolate, chips, ....
Since yesterday back on track, felt it in the gym: my heartrate was really high and I started counting calories again :-). Also have this plank challenge I started yesterday with a collegue of mine :-).
To all of you my best whishes for 2016 and remember: "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising everytime we fall" :-).

Well, that was a crazy holiday season. It began with the whole family getting sick, though me and my daughter kind of got off easy with just the cold type symptoms. My wife got it really bad and is still recovering. My 3 year old son was having breathing problems (which is not unusual if he is sick), but a trip to the dr's office turned into a trip to the emergency room, turned into a 2 day stay at the hospital. Turns out he had pneumonia. Friend flew in from CA to go to the Packers game on 1-3. Lots of alcohol and too much of the pizza and pub food. All in all, I gained from my last weigh in, but back on the diet today and looking for the scale to start moving in the right direction again.
Here's to hoping that 2016 is not as difficult as last year was.

Hope you all had a great holiday. I continued to keep myself moving during the holidays and tried to eat right. There were certain days I did not track food because I couldn't remember all I ate....grazing! I am happy to say, however, that I managed to continue to lose weight over the busy two weeks. I enjoyed the goodies but in much moderation....and walked a lot. This has never happened before so I am stoked. My husband and sister also continued to lose weight. #feelinggood

I'm hating my scale right about now. I have to weigh myself every morning. Cardiologist orders. Ugh!! I never know my true weight. Or at least know how to find my true weight. One day I'm down 3 lbs and then the next I'm up 1 or 2 and then the next I'm either down or up again. I can't believe I'm retaining that much water this time of year. I'm not walking as much I could I guess. I can't do more than 15 min at a time so I'm thinking of doing the treadmill two or three times in one day. I guess it will add up.
I need to cut back on my morning breakfast. Seems I'm using half or more of my calories. So here's to another week and hopefully I'll have better news to report next time.
